Episode 9: Territory of the Queen

Since we have been stranded dinosaurs have been trying to make new territories. The pteranodons took to the mountains. All the herbivores gained separate territories around the forest and plains. Compys hid in smaller parts on the island. Blue was moving around rocks and left her old home. She struggled with food since her pack had all been killed. The carnivores took to the rivers and other plains. Us, we haven't found a place and were running with a paro. Sounds fun right? No harm can be done. Wrong! We were almost chomped on by Rexy. "Is the parasaurolophus still there?" Brooklyn asked. Rexy roared and moved it away as Kenji barely got snatched up. "Not anymore!" Kenji said and then we all panted and hid behind a rock. The paro tried running past us but was grabbed by Rexy and its neck got crunched. Then she dragged it away. "She's gone." Darius whispered. "Hey, Alpha, why couldn't you just transform into the spi- spincosauras thing?" Kenji asked, enraged while catching his breath. "Spinosaurus." Darius corrected. "Whatever." Kenji said. "I'm a little spent from the last time and I just can't seem to, no matter how hard I try." I said. "Maybe you just need rest, you did take many beatings for us." Brooklyn said to me. "We're doing fine too." Sammy said. Half of the group agreed with her and the other half didn't. 

Eventually after resting we had to go find food. No one except me wanted to eat dinosaurs again. "Let's head to mainstreet." Darius said and we all agreed. I was probably gonna get a new shirt too. These mosquitos were killing me. We made it in and looked around the place. "This place is destroyed, a fight must have happened." Brooklyn said. "Between what though?" Darius asked. "T.rex." Kenji said. "Indominus Rex." Sammy said. "Alpha." Yaz said and we all looked at her and they looked at me. "I had a part in that, so did a raptor and the mosasaurus." I said and pointed over at the lagoon's broken fence. "So we don't have to worry about the Indominus any more." Brooklyn said. "Or the mosasaurus being hungry for a while." Darius said and they shuddered and moved away. I smile at the success though. We killed that unholy combination. What does that make me though? I asked myself. I have many creatures mixed into one body. 

I was about to continue thinking when Sammy shouted. "Guys, you have to come to see this." We rushed over and saw something pretty funny. A cardboard cutout of Brooklyn advertising a charger. "I forgot I did that." Brooklyn said. Kenji then grabbed a phone charger and kneeled. "Brooklyn, sign my phone charger." He said while laughing. "I wonder how my viewers are thinking about me right now?" Brooklyn asked herself. "And your parents?" Sammy asked. "Yeah them too." Brooklyn said quickly and walked away. After that Darius said we should look for communication. I walked over to her. "You wanna talk about that?" I asked. "Not really, I was just never close with my parents." She said and I nodded. "Powers out." Kenji said. "Same here too." Yaz said from across the street. "No phones?" I asked. "Of course there isn't a phone for us. No one happened too loose there." Brooklyn was fuming. "I did find these." Kenji said and threw some walkie talkies that looked like green triceratops at us. We tested them out. They did work. "I found this too." Sammy said and showed us a book on Jurassic World stuff. "That's gonna be helpful." Darius said. "I found this, we can show everyone what we are doing." Brooklyn said and held a camera up. "Hello everyone, it's your girl Brooklyn stuck on Isla Nublar and until help arrives you are going to watch us survive." She said to the camera. She stopped recording for now. "You're making it sound fun to be trapped here." I said to her. "It's not all bad." Brooklyn said and nudged me. I smiled at her.

"Guys, I found something." Sammy said and we looked at the book. "All the stuff here is hidden and this book tells you what is what, in one of the trees is an emergency beacon." Sammy said sounding hopeful. "New mission, spread out and search for the beacon." Darius said. While we searched we hopped on scooters and videos ourselves. "WooHoo." Kenji said and he zoomed past us. I heard Rexy from far away speaking. "Another addition to the pile." She was saying. I wonder what she was talking about but it was interrupted by Kenji. "Pizza delivery." He said and zoomed to a table with lots of frozen pizzas. "Yes. No more eating dinosaurs for once." Yaz said, relieved. About an hour later. I was basking in the sun while everyone groaned. "Is the pizza thawed out yet?" Sammy asked again. "No." Kenji said as he felt the pizza again. Then lots of compys came over and tried to steal the pizza. "Back off!" I yelled at them. I kicked and smacked them and even grabbed one and threw it and they all began to leave and we still had the pizza. "Rats of the dino world." Yaz said. I snorted at the fleeing compys. 

Night then came and we decided to sleep. Darius was having a nightmare but Yaz woke him from it. I heard him mutter dad, Ben, and no. We all became exhausted as Darius tried to find the beacon again. I went to help him. Brooklyn had been clutching my arm though and refused to let go. I smiled and she did let go and I rushed to help Darius. "Where is it?" Darius was frustrated. "It's gotta be in one of these." I said to him and started knocking the metal trees down with my immense strength. "How?" I said as none of them held the beacon. 

Everyone began to wake up hearing the commotion. "Hey, this looks broken." Kenji pointed out. "The T.Rex might have done this." I said and just then Rexy came down with the exact pole in her jaw. We hid on top of a building. We looked down as Rexy placed the metal pole down and looked around. She roared out and to my shock the baby I helped hatch came out and roared. The two exchanged a nuzzle. "A T.Rex nest on top of main street, this is great." Darius said but everyone looked at him. "This is horrible." He said realizing he couldn't get the beacon. Rexy began to leave for more wood. "We have to go now." I said and hopped down. "Be careful." Brooklyn said as kenji and Darius followed after. Yaz and Brooklyn stayed above while Sammy went to tell us what Rexy was doing. 

We moved across to the pole but it was shut. "Dang it." I said and then the baby nudged us a jaw bone. Darius and Kenji moved back as I picked it up. "Thanks." I told it and it nodded and I stabbed it in and opened the latch and then Darius activated the beacon. "It's coming back." Kenji panicked and we ran off. We then heard Brooklyn's voice luring away the T.Rex. We made a run for it. "I actually thought that was you for a second." I told her as we ran off with warmed up pizza. "Where are you worried about me?" She asked, playfully. "Yeah." I muttered and she just held my hand. Soon I started a fire to warm up the pizza and then we ate it. "This is so good." Yaz said and we went to sleep for the rest of the day under some tree roots.
