Episode 31: The waiting game

After messing up the plane and being satisfied by my work we had to get Pierce back home. "Which biome does he live in?" Omega asked. "Desert." Darius said. "Let's get him there." I said. Mae and Ben accompanied us along with Gamma. Brooklyn and Kenji went with Yaz and Sammy to watch the T.Rex sisters and then to get some rest. We went through the tunnel to the desert. "This place is very advanced." Omega said. "A little too advanced for my liking." Ben said. "Mantah Corp has paid for the most advanced technology available." Mae explained. "No kidding." I said. "A little too much money spent." Gamma snarled. Omega comforted him. "I'm sorry for what happened to you all, if I could have stopped it I would have done so." Mae said. "Too late now." I said. "Anything we should worry about in the desert?" Ben asked. "Not that I can recall, Pierce has a territory of his own that no creatures approach." Mae explained. "Well we ran into sabertooths so were not sure if were safe." Darius said. "Pierce can handle the sabertooths I know, there shouldn't be any other animals in the desert." Mae said. That voice i heard of pure rage and anger said otherwise. "I will be in my spinosaurus form to be safe." I said. We went out into the desert and I turned to Scorn. "I will search from above." Omega said and turned to Shriek. Gamma turned to Saber. Omega flew up and Gamma scouted for other animals. Mae pulled out a tablet and communicated to him. "You can talk to him?" Darius asked. "Yes. Wanna try?" She gave Darius the tablet and he talked to Pierce. "Real communication is a deep bond." Ben said. "I disagree with that." Mae said and they began to talk back and forth. I began walking to Gamma and Omega. Gamma was sprinting back. "Run!" He shouted out. I looked confused when Omega flew over. "Run!" She said. I heard that voice of rage. I approached and regretted it. I was met with a spinosaurus much bigger than me, a full grown one. I backed away. "Yeah, run!" Al shouted out. The spino roared at me. "You are human. You are my kind. You are an enemy, I will kill you." He said. He spoke strangely and was in rage because of the desert heat I guess. I began to run. He was faster than me. He rammed into me and I fell into the dirt. He approached all fours and snapped at my tail. I slapped him and turned and swiped at his face. He tried to bite my hand off. "Listen, I can help you. I can get you home." I told him, trying to reason. "Lies, my home is gone. I will kill you human for I am Alpha here like at my home." I bit at his neck. "I am an Alpha myself." I said and tried to pin him but he wouldn't move. He slammed his head into me and slapped me. A new scar on my side. He then gripped my neck and tried to snap it. I broke away and turned to Cyclone and flew off. I was panting. I was frightened. He was truly a combat experienced predator. The apex. I cannot blame him for how he reacted. I saw him stare at me and leave. 

"Spino, he has had the worst life of us all." Pierce said when I landed down. "How do you know this?" I asked him. "The pteranodons talked to me when I was in the forest." He explained. "So what happened to him?" Omega asked. "Well it began in a lab on Isla Sorna, Henry Wu made him and experimented on him. Later he was sent into the wild and a storm came. He killed the humans. Took over the island, he's a walking extinction event. The T.Rex killer." He explained. I snarled when I heard Wu. "Somehow he found a mate for himself. They were happy together and produced one offspring. Humans came again though. A t.rex and some humans killed his mate before turning on each other until he appeared and killed them all. Then more humans came and killed his child and he chased them through the whole island, breaking the toughest fences, destroying a plane, and he was burned in the end. They left and never returned but different humans, the ones here took him and the others away and a hurricane wrecked the entire island." Pierce explained. "I feel sorry for him." Gamma said. "We fear him and feel sorry for him." Pierce said. "Anyway to help him?" Omega asked. "No." He said. We looked down and then Sammy and the others approached. 

"Guys, we have big news." Brooklyn said. "Lets hear it." Darius said. "The man who blackmailed Sammy's family is the same man controlling the island, his name is Kash." Yaz said. "I am gonna talk with him." Sammy said. "Count us in on that, I want to rip his limbs off." I said. They stared at me. "Lets go then." Sammy said. "No, we shouldn't." Darius said. "Kash is a dangerous man, let me speak with him." Mae said. "We are going to come so nothing happens." Omega said. "Okay, just stay hidden." Mae said.

Eventually we came to see the meeting and Kash even more stupid then I imagined. He had raptors behind him in a forcefield. "Too bad we can't kill him." One said. "One day brother, one day." The second one said. The conversation went south. The raptors were sent to attack Mae. She got clawed slightly at the chest. She fell and I stepped in as Al. I pushed them back. "When did you get here?" Kash was intrigued and called the raptors off. Gamma stayed back but Omega turned to Frost and tried to bite him. "Woah, not so fast." He said. His forcefield drones stopped her. The campers moved Mae away and we bit at the drones. We then turned to Cyclone and Shriek and tried to claw the drones but he moved to the door. "More of you, the kid must be with you. I'll see you all later." I charged but he went into the place and locked the door. "We can get him later." Shriek told us. "I agree, we must wait." Cyclone said. "Yeah, we can tear him apart soon." Dawn said. "Soon we can get through the building." Thel said. "How so?" I asked him. "I found your last form to be dormant, I don't know what kind of creature he is but hes very strong." Thel said and we flew back to the others. Gamma hugged us and we hugged back. "Guys, Kash had a phone. We can call for help." Ben said. We all smiled. "Phone?" Gamma asked, confused.
