The next day was a pain in the neck. We had to hide in a tree while two baryonyx were below nipping at us. One brown and green and the other brown and blue. Eventually they left for something else. We got down from the tree and Kenji being bored threw a rock at a tree near yaz who grabbed the rock. Kenji dropped the next rock he was going to throw. "We can't stay on main street cause of dinosaurs, not the mountains cause dinosaurs, and not anywhere else cause of dinosaurs." Brooklyn complained. "Well there is one place we could stay at." Darius said. Eventually we made it to the ruins of Camp Cretaceous. "Here?" Kenji asked. "The Indominus took this place down." Sammy said. "Well yeah but no dinosaurs are around and we can get up above the dinosaurs." Darius pointed out. "He's not wrong." I said. "We can build a base here I suppose." Brooklyn said. "Wouldn't camp be the first place they look for kids anyway?" Darius asked. "If they knew we were kids but they most likely will check this place out." I said. "Well we need to go and find more food, there should be some that way." Sammy said and pointed toward where food was supposed to be. "We should get something for Alpha's leg." Brooklyn said. "Let's go." Yaz said and we all were about to leave when Darius stopped them. "We need someone to help sort all this and watch Kenji." He said. Yaz moved away. "Fine, just hurry." Yaz said and went to sorting and made sure Kenji actually helped.
We walked all the way to the area and found storage for food and bandages. "Food!" Sammy shouted holding up a gallon of peaches. "And bandages for Alpha, all 50 feet of it?" Brooklyn was confused. We then heard dinosaurs roar out from inside some cages. Stegosaurus and Sinoceratops stuck in cages. "These dinosaurs were left just like we were." Sammy said. "They have no food or water." I said. "Help." A stego said to me. I freed the animals. "What are you doing?" Brooklyn asked. "We have to release them." I said and we began to free them. Brooklyn was annoyed by this. "Don't worry, they are just herbivores." I said and then a carnivore roared out. "Oh come on." I muttered. We saw a darker green and black baryonyx. He rammed the cage. We all kept our distance.
"It's obvious what we should do." Darius said. "Definitely." Sammy said. "Free it." Sammy said while Darius said "Leave it." I looked at the two in amusement. "Interesting." Brooklyn said. "Free it? You want another carnivore around?" Darius asked. "It was left like us, it should be released. Unless we feed it everyday." Sammy said and held up the peaches. "It eats fish and meat." I said. Darius then walked over by the freed sino. "No, we are not feeding Maurine to them." Sammy said and hugged the sino. "You named it?" Darius asked. "It's nature, Sammy." I told her. They continued arguing. I walked off to Brooklyn. "What are you doing?" I asked her. "I'm getting what we came to get." Brooklyn began to put food in a bag that was starting to get heavy. I took over holding it and we filled the bag up with gallons of fruit. "What's that?" Brooklyn asked. My eyes widened as I saw the two other baryonyx approaches for their pack member. "Run!" I yelled. "Run!" Brooklyn said to the others and we got on top of a cage.
"Still wanna free it?" I asked Sammy. "Their family, we can't let them be separated." Sammy said and was almost bitten by one of the piscivores. "We need help." Brooklyn said. She looked at me. "Still can't. I've been trying." I told her. The baryonyx were getting closer to us and were trying to free the other one. "I can find some help." I said. "Good, where?" Brooklyn asked. I pointed at some trapped stegos. "I got them." Sammy said and ran down to them and released them. The stegos approached and Darius went over the other trapped baryonyx and released it. "Darius, you better know what you just did." I said to him. "Worry about that later, we gotta run." Darius said and we all ran down from the cage and away from the stampede caused by the carnivores.
Before long we ran back to camp seeing that things were sorted. "Get up the tree!" Sammy yelled and I helped everyone up and jumped up. The stampede shook the ground but it soon passed. "Nice work on sorting, how much trouble was Kenji?" I asked. "Not too much, he came through in the end. How was food finding?" Yaz asked. "Enough for a few months." I told her. Yaz then began to draw a layout for the base. "We can have these nice beds and all these spacious rooms. The boys can have whatever." Brooklyn said. I gave her a nudge. Before long we got to the building and it took a week's time but looked great when all said and done. We had a pulley system for a water jug carrier, a shower, even a slide. "We did it." Sammy said, exhausted. We were sweating head to toe. "Lets eat." Yaz said and we ate some peaches. They were slimy and sticky but great. Soon night came after dinner and we could rest easy now. Everyone had seen me and Brooklyn do our super friendly interactions and placed us in the same bed. At first I was angry but I warmed up and thought it wouldn't be so bad.
In the middle of the night though when I was twitching in a dream. In it I was traveling a desert as myself and at an oasis was my spinosaurus form. I ran to it. He swam and drank from the water. I sat down next to it. It snarled at me and splashed me with its tail. "Hey, care to explain why I can't transform?" I asked him. He stared at me and clawed the wet sand. I could see the dust whirl into moving and blurry images. They eventually cleared up. "Continued exposure in such a form causes it to get tired and has to recharge before it can be brought out again. A solution to such a problem is more trust and respect for the form or a dire sense to protect. Once mastered such a user can go back and forth with ease. No feral side effects, not even hunger." I saw my father explain. "I was already your form at one point?" I asked. The spino shook its head and walked away. I would later make peace with my spino form but before I could go to him I was transported all the way to the Jurassic landscape and was being chased through a herd of brachios, stegos, and diplodocus by allosaurus. It gave off a mighty roar and latched onto the diplo and bit its neck and brought it down. Dust moved over us. The allo could be heard ripping flesh off its kill. Meanwhile a new tail crept out and different colored scales came over my body and my eyes flashed open. I made a guttural growl and wanted to feed but I slept.
