chapter 51: hogwarts completed

Y/n pov

Finally, time to get on the hogwarts express for the last time. I sat down in regs compartment.

"Finally going home am I right," Barty said sitting down next to me.

"Yes," I said looking over.

"So plans for when you get home"

"Going to a wedding then we'll see"

"Who's wedding" Regulus asked sitting down

"My brothers," I said looking over at him. He hummed. Conversation flowed lightly before I rested my head on the window. I drifted off.

"Y/n wake up. Your boyfriend is waiting?" Regulus said shaking me a little. I woke up and looked over at him. I nodded a little as he handed me my bag. I ran my hand through my hair trying to fix it before walking down the train stairs. I looked around trying to find Sirius or James. Then I saw Sirius looking around. He made eye contact with me. I smiled at him and he started towards me. Once he made it to me he pulled me into a tight hug.

"You just saw me a couple of days ago," I said laughing a little.

"Yeah but now I can take you back to our apartment," he said looking down at me. "Your mum helped move a lot of stuff into the apartment. It looks like a home now" I laughed a little and he smiled at me. He pulled me into a kiss. When we pulled away he grabbed my bags. "We're going to your mum's tonight. James and Lily will be there and then Lily wants to steal you tomorrow for dress shopping" he held one of my hands in mine and we started walking out.

"Alright"

"Then we have an order meeting later tomorrow and I'll explain more about that after"

"Ok"

He looked back over at Me.

"I missed you so much," he said.

"I missed you too"

We made it back to the apartment and he put my bags in our room. Our room. I like that. Moving on...he showed me all the stuff my mum brought over and how he set it all up. Then he realized the time and told me we were going to Mum's soon. I changed into Jean shorts a black tank top and one of Sirius's zip-ups before he went over to the fire and we went through flu. I was immediately pulled into a hug from Dad.

"Hey Dad," I said with a laugh.

"Hey," he said. "How are you doing"

"Ok," I said as we pulled away. Then Mum walked over and pulled me into a hug.

"Hi Mum"

"Oh sweetheart how are you doing"

"Fine mum. Happy to be back. Thanks for bringing my stuff to Sirius's"

"Of course hon" We pulled away and James pulled me into a hug.

"How many hugs am I getting? I just saw you the other day" I said.

"I know but whatever," he said. I sighed as he laughed at me. Then he pulled away. "Lily is in the other room and Remus is on his way. Peter is still helping with war stuff or whatever. He told us he had a mission."

I nodded. Mum ran off to the kitchen and started making dinner as me and dad played wizard's chest. Sirius sat next to me with his head on my shoulder as he watched me Play. He'd kiss my shoulder every so often along with interlacing his fingers with mine.

Me and Dad played two games when Remus walked in and Mum finished dinner. Remus pulled me into a hug before we sat down. Sirius had his hand on my knee all of dinner. He rubbed his thumb over my knee when it started bouncing a little. Mum made my favorite meal and we all talked. Everything felt normal. I loved it. When we finished dessert and everything we said goodbye to Mum and everyone before me and Sirius headed home.

"Officially welcome home love," Sirius said as we walked in.

"Thank you," I said. He grabbed my waist and pulled me close to him. I wrapped my arms around his neck before swinging us back and forth. He rested his forehead on mine. He pressed a soft kiss to my lips as we swayed back and forth. I smiled against his lips.

"I missed you" he whisper again.

"You've said this," I said back.

"I know but it's true" I smiled at him and he pressed another kiss to my lips. We swayed to the non-existence music before I felt a wave of fatigue hit me. "Tired love?"

"A little."

"Come on let's go to bed"

He picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist and nuzzled into his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around my waist and carried me into the bedroom. He laid me down and then laid down next to me. He wrapped his arm around my stomach and then nuzzled into my shoulder. He pressed light kisses to my neck. I let out a content sigh as I ran my hand through his hair.

"I was thinking about cutting my hair" he mumbled. "Just for the war."

"What!"

"I've already had some incidents with it. I love it long believe me and I know you do too but I don't want to die before I like my hair long" 

I sighed.

"How short"

"Uh I don't think you want to know right now"

"Not buzz cut"

"No. Never."

"Good because I don't think I'd be able to forgive you if you did that"

He laughed a little.

"I have an appointment tomorrow for it if you want to come"

"I think it would make me to sad. I'll just see it when you get back"

"I have it late. I think I'm the last appointment before they close. It's after the meeting tomorrow"

"Ok" I looked at the ceiling for a second "What happened with your hair last time"

He sighed. "I shouldn't have said anything" he mumbled

"No, now you have to"

"Ok, we were walking through one of the bases and it got stuck somewhere. I don't even know where and then a death eater grabbed it. It hurt like hell"

I laughed a little "I'd imagine"

"Shut up" he whined. I kissed the top of his head. I continued to run my hand through his hair and he hummed a queen song until he fell asleep. I slowly drifted off thinking about how lucky I am to have him in my life.
