Chapter 45: You Always Look Good In Red

Y/n pov

I woke up to my breathing heavy and sweating. Sirius was whispering things to me and rubbing my arm. I sat up a little. Sirius watched me for a second before sitting up as well. He moved to sit in front of me. He grabbed my hands and drew shapes on the back of them. He watched me as I matched my breathing with his. He let go of my hands and cupped my cheeks, and pulled me into a soft kiss. I melted into it.

"Better?" He asked when he pulled away.

"Yeah."

"Nightmare?"

"I don't remember," I said quietly with a small smile. He laughed a little and rubbed his nose against mine. He kissed my forehead a couple of times before moving his hands to my waist and pulling me onto his lap. I wrapped my arms around his neck. He moved his hands under my shirt to hold me.

"I really got to start looking for that ring," he said to me. I laughed a little.

"Mum said you'll probably letter her a million times about it."

"She's probably not wrong,"

He pressed some kisses to my neck before pressing a long one to my lips.

"We still have a couple hours of sleep," he said

"Ok," i whispered. He put me back on the bed before laying down. He then opened his arms to me. I moved over and rested my head on his chest, and he wrapped his arms around my waist. I kissed his neck a couple of times before falling back asleep. He rubbed my back as I drifted to sleep.

"Y/n show us," Lily said outside of the dressing room.

"Hold on," I said. I looked in the mirror. "Why is this party a thing?" I mumbled.

"Y/n"

"Yeah, yeah,"

I opened the door to show her the dress. It was a long red dress with spegatttie straps. It was tighter on the top and had a tie back. It had a slit in the skirt. I walked out and Lily looked up from the magazine she was looking at. Her jaw dropped as I looked at the other mirror.

"It looks amazing," she said, walking over.

"Does it?"

"Yes!" She said. I smiled and looked down. "Did you tell Sirius what color tie"

"No, I'm buying it for him to get the same color."

"Oh."

"I also hadn't declared on a color until now, so"

She laughed a little.

"Is this the one you're getting?" I looked at the dress again

"Yeah."

"Alright, go get changed, and we'll find him a tie and pay."

"Alright."

I got changed and found a red tie for sirius. We paid, and we said goodbye before heading home. I made it to sirius's and saw him cooking in the kitchen. I put my dress on the chair quickly before putting his tie on the counter. I wrapped my arms around his stomach and rested my head on his back. He jumped a little before looking back at me.

"Hello love," he said

"Hello,"

I let go and grabbed the tie.

"I got my dress and your tie," I said.

"You did?"

"Mhmm. You can't see the dress yet but you can see your tie. "
