Chapter 42: Finally With Him

Y/n pov

I handed my trunk to the person, putting them on the train before finding regs spot. I sat down next to reg and looked out the window.

"You excited?" He asked quietly

"Yeah," I whispered back

"He's probably five times more excited."

I laughed a little and looked over at him.

"He's got an apartment now," I said.

"Really,"

"Yeah, he got it a month or two after I left."

"Oh, can you uh give him this?" he said, handing me a bag

"Yeah Ofcourse "

"Thanks."

The rest of the train ride was small talk and making fun of Evan and bartys cluelessness about their feelings for each other. I knew I fell asleep leaning on the window but not before seeing Evan lay on Barty and fall asleep.

Sirius pov

I quickly got out of bed and changed before brushing my teeth and grabbing something quick for breakfast. I grabbed some flu and made it to the potters.

"Oi Sirius, help me with this quickly," Mr Potter said, putting up a banner.

"Of course," I said, walking over. I held it up while he put a nail in it.

"Thanks."

"No problem," I said. I looked at it and saw it said welcome back n/n. I smiled at it.

"Sirius, can you help me in here quickly?" Mrs Potter said. "I know you just got he -"

"It's no problem. I'm here to help. "

"Thanks."

"Of course."

I helped her with some things in the kitchen when I felt an arm draped around my shoulder

"Hey james," I said.

"Hey," he said back. "That smile is never leaving your face today, is it?"

"No," I said with a laugh. I looked over at him. He laughed a little and patted my shoulder.

"Only a couple more hours."

"I wish it were sooner,"

"Of course you do,"

"Fuck off"

He shoved me a bit.

"Hurry up so we can go grab something for her"

"Alright be there in a sec"

Y/n pov

"Y/n wake up. We're almost here" reg said shaking me a little. I sat up and ran my hand through my hair. I looked out the window and saw the station coming up. Evan and Barty were grabbing their bags. Reg passed me mine.

"Thanks"

"Mhm"

I watched as we pulled into the station. The train came slowly to a stop and we got up. I followed the boys out of the compartment before getting off the train. I looked around until I saw sirius looking around. His eyes landed on mine and his smile grew. I pushed through a couple of people before running over to him. I put my bags down right before he grabbed my waist and spun me in the air. I held onto his forearms as he did so. I laughed a little as he spun us for a minute. He put me back on the ground before cupping my cheeks and pulling me into a kiss. I smiled into it and wrapped my arms around his neck. He pulled away and looked at me with a huge smile.
