chapter 41: You're Going To Be Great In laws

Y/n pov

"Reg...reg wake up," I whispered. He rubbed his eyes and looked at me.

"Y/n? Why are you in the slythrin common room?"

"Why are you asleep on the slythrin couch?"

"I don't know.  fell asleep reading"

I paused.

"You are so different from your brother."

"Uh, no shit. Now answer my question"

"Oh, right. Carrgie for hogsmead leaves soon. We have to go"

"Right forgot about thay"

"I know. That's why I am here. Let's. Go."

"I'm coming. I'm coming."

I waited in the common room as he changed and we started towards the door.

"You going to the dance with anyone?" I asked as we walked.

"No."

"That's sad. How could your brother basically get anyone for any dance and you can't find one person to go to the dance with you? "

"Y/n! That was so mean. "

"It's true, though."

"Are you going with anyone?"

"I'm dating your brother dumb ass,"

"...right."

I looked over at him.

"We could go together," he suggested. "Practice dancing before your wedding with my brother. "

"Alright. Yeah." I said, looking at him.

We made it to the carriages, and they started towards hogsmead. We went around and I bought Christmas gifts for everyone. I picked out a lot of candy for myself and got my dress for the ball. The ball was in two days, so I was a little late on buying it. I met up with reg and them at the three broomstick.

"Wow, shopping queen," barty said.

"Yes. No looking"

"Oh, she got stuff for us," Evan teased

"Maybe, but if you look, I'll give it to someone else."

"Woah, the gryffindor has threats."

I laughed and shook my head. I took a sip of my butter beer.

"So barty. You bringing anyone to the dance, " I asked. He choked on his drink, and me and reg started laughing. I saw Evans look over curiously at barty. Barty wiped his face and looked over at me.

"No y/n I am not." He said, still recovering.

"Oh, that's too bad. I thought you were going to ask someone, "

He looked over at Evan quickly before back at me.

"No, I wasn't," he said quickly

"Ok then," reg said.

"What?!"

"Nothing nothing," me and reg said quickly. Then, an owl flew through the restaurant and to our table. I recognized the owl immediately. It sat next to me and dropped a letter. I quickly grabbed it and opened it.

"Hello love,

Five days!! Im officially counting down. Your parents said if you want to stay at my apartment you can for a little. I've been missing you so much and I can't wait for you to come home.  Your mum is bringing me to the station to see you.  She also found some pictures your dad took when we were here at the last couple of summers. I wish I could see you right now. Everything feels so empty without you. I'm hoping that when you come to the apartment, it will make it feel like a home. Our home soon enough. "Ugh, my brother is such a romantic," the regulus said next to me. I laughed a little.

Pandora spun me around and grabbed my hands, and danced with me.

"Last ball here!" She said.

"Yeah." I laughed. Barty then moved over to us and broke us apart.

"Sorry, ladies," he joked.

"Fuck off" I said shoving him. He laughed. "Go dance with Evan already" I whispered. He paused for a second. He grabbed my arm lightly and pulled me away.

"Hiw did you know?" He asked as we were further away from Evan.

"It's quite obvious" I said. "You're always starting. I'm not sure if you notice but he does to. Just go up to him and kiss him or something"

"You think I shoulf"

"Yes and if it doesn't work out blame it on the punch. Say it was spiked"

"Good thinking. I'll be back then"

He walked off and I watched. I saw him walk up to Evans. They talked for a second before I saw Barty kiss him. They pulled away and I saw Evan with a smile. He then grabbed Barty's tie and pulled him back in. I smiled a little.

"Playing match maker are we?" Regulus asked.

"It worked didn't it?" I said

"It did. Good job"

"Thank you"

"Come dance. Enjoy yourself."

"Ok let's go then"

"Alright."

I grabbed his hands and pulled him with me. Me him and Pandora all danced until the last song. We didn't find Evan and barty but I had a good idea where then went.

"Come with us tonight" pandora said grabbing onto my arm.

"Yeah. Come on it will be great" reg said.

"Alright" I said. We made it to the slythrin common room. Pandora had extra clothes in regs dorm and she grabbed some for me before we sat in his dorm.

"So three days y/n. You excited?" Pandora asked.

"Yeah" I said. "Sirius is to. He sends how many days in the first sentence on his letter every time"

"That sounds adorable"

"It is"

"Godrick I didn't know my brother was so...I don't know the word" reg said.

I laughed a little and pushed him.

"You got us Christmas presents last year calm down."  I said.

"You got them presents!" Pandora asked

"Yes" I said "it was so sweet"

"Y/n shut it before you won't be able to see your boyfriend"

"Oh my Merlin this man is threatening me" I teased shoving him.

"Yes yes I am" he said "I do it all the time. You know this"

"I do but I like teasing you about it."

Pandora laughed a little

"You two are going to make great inlaws" Pandora said

"That I knew" we both said. I laughed a little.
