My alarm clock startled me awake, leaving me feeling scared and alarmed. Without any warning, that loud sound broke the silence. The alarm rang at 7 o'clock in the morning and I switched it off. After rising from my bed, I proceeded to the closet. It offered clothes that met my preferences. After taking a shower and cleaning myself up, I exited my room. I perceived all the individuals living on the identical story as me. Among the group of men present, only two were around the same age as me and the rest were older. Me, Nick, Xavion, Cale, Jago, and Micheal made up the limited number of guys on our floor.
I received a frigid gaze from them before they turned and walked away. "You're gonna be late." Cale advised me to hurry up since he was frequently moving to another place. I followed behind him, entering a cafeteria. There was a group of people just standing there, appearing to wait for our presence. And they were. On four tables, there was a spread of food. Each collar number and respective floor was indicated by a distinct table. I settled into a chair. There was a plate with a complete breakfast on it. The components of this meal consist of eggs, bacon, sausage, hash brown, and orange juice. Despite its high price and luxurious appearance, the food failed to satisfy my taste buds. Eating was not on my agenda.
There was a near-death experience for someone at table 4. It was Célestine. Her food had some harmful substance added to it which resulted in her falling under the acts of becoming poisoned. Her neck has turned dark purple and her veins are protruding. She was struggling to breathe and we didn't know how to help her. There was a bottle of medicine that could help on the table in front of the cafeteria. I quickly picked it up and returned to give it to her to drink. On a quiet morning, I almost lost my friend. That horrific host of the game remained in a stationary position, observing. It came to my notice that he intentionally contaminated her food with poison. His desire was to witness her suffering.
We were escorted to an open-air location where we could stroll freely once we had recovered from the incident.The luxurious setting of this location resembled a high-end jail. Our sleeping quarters are separate, but we come together for meals, find solace outside, and observe each other's passing.It's like being locked up in a penitentiary. My gaze fell upon the location. It seemed like there were no snares or any perilous objects around. The walls and doors are under surveillance by security cameras and guards. Célestine approached me. "Leo, I am grateful. I owe you one," she whispered gratefully. "If no one got the medicine that could cure me soon enough, I would have passed away." she smiled at me. "Don't worry, everything is fine. It wasn't very much. It's upsetting to me that no one put forth an effort to offer help. They all stared at you as if you were insane. I understand that this is a place where everyone stays until they die, but it was very mean. But, you're welcome." I patted her on the shoulder.
Without delay, the host instructed all contestants to proceed to the voting chamber. Although it was hard to endure, we were forced to experience another severe penalty for no reason. The massive door before us was the one we walked through. Both Célestine and I entered the door simultaneously. It was a really big room that went to an elevator. There was ample space in the elevator to transport all of us to the lower level. A screen located inside the elevator displayed the names of all the occupants. It contained the names of each and every person who are currently alive.
