Cassie's POV

it's been a few weeks since we left qatar, argentina won the whole thing.

João was out of the country with his friends, and i didn't want to spoil the fun for him. Jenna decided to come over, and she would be coming in a few minutes.

i was still in bed, i've been sick lately, i'm just not feeling myself but jenna wanted to come and make me feel better.

i heard a knock on the door and i rushed to open it, Jenna immediately hugged me.

"you okay? you look...tired.." she says scanning me up and down

"yea lately i've just not been feeling myself. i told you on the phone"

"yea i know but you look more than sick"
she looks me up and down again

"what?"

"uhm cass, have you ever thought maybe your pre-"

"shut up jenna. i'm not!"

"did you use protection?"

i gasp

"well good thing i brought tests!" she says digging through her bag

"what- why do you have pregnancy tests?"

"you never know." she smirks

the last time joão and i had sex was in florida, and we didn't use protection. i knew it was a bad idea.

she handed me a test and i went to the bathroom and peed on it, i came out and jenna and i waited. it was probably one of the longest 5 minutes of my life.

i start to groan

"why did you use protection!"

"i-i thought if i pulled out it would be fine before he released!"

"pulling out is never the answer!

she looks at the test and released a big sigh

"what?"

"cassandra today is your lucky day"

i look at the test and it says negative

i sigh and throw the test away

"i told you i wasn't pregnant"

"i know i know but you never know."

jenna and i got hungry and we doordashed food, my phone rings and it's joão.

"hey love" i say and jenna gags, i giggle

"hey-what are you laughing at?"

"oh! i'm with jenna" i say facing my phone to jenna, and jenna waves while eating her food.

"hey jenna"

"hi"

i face the screen back to me

"so how are you love?"

"i'm good, i miss you my love"

"i miss you too"

"i mIsS yOu bAbY" jenna mimics

"shut up jenna." i hit her

"ouch!" she dodges

"what did you do today?"

"my friends and i just hung out, did you see my story on insta?"

"yea actually i did, okay well my love have fun i'm gonna be with jenna."

"okay my love have fun."

"bye i love you"

"i love you too."

i ended the call with joão.

"you two are disgustingly cute." she smiles with food in her mouth

"when are you getting a boyfriend?" i say slurping my soup

"shut up cass" she says throwing away her trash
