"And all my walls stood tall, painted blue. But I'll take them down, (take em down) and open up the door for you." -Ed Sheeran

Saying that I feel nervous about having dinner with Daisy and her family would be an understatement. I've never done anything like this before.
I know that I'm not a kid-necessarily-but I am still super young. And I don't have a father who will guide me through this or a mom who'd have my back if any of this were to go wrong.
I'm all alone.
Which is why I'm still sitting in my car looking at the clock. It's now six:fifty-four. I could technically just leave and forget all about this. Forget...her. But never seeing or talking to Daisy again makes my stomach tighten.
I don't want that.
I'm actually into this girl. A lot. Even though she's out of my league and will most likely dump me when she realizes that I am going nowhere. But at least for now, just for this moment-however long it'll last-I'll get to have her. And that's good enough for me.
Before it gets later, I put my car and drive and park right in front of her house. I was parked down the street-where we usually park when I drop her off after school.
I turn off my car and climb out.
Her house never stops intimidating me. Shit, her whole neighborhood is actually super nice and fancy.
Taking one big deep breath, I bring myself to ring the doorbell. It's now only one minute left until 7 o'clock.
Technically, I'm on time.
I hear the door unlocking and I start to get all nervous again. I take another breath and then the door opens.
This time when I attempt to catch my breath again it gets caught and I almost choke. Daisy is standing in front of me with the door open and looking completely breathtakingly beautiful.
She always looks beautiful to me but right now she's in full cocktail attire and it's the most beautiful thing I've ever fucking seen.
"You look amazing." Daisy smiles.
I scoff and chuckle at the same time. "Have you looked in the mirror." That makes her chuckle too and she blushes.
I had to ask Miguel for help on finding clothes to wear for tonight. None of my clothes are fancy dinner appropriate. And Miguel's family is always gifting him some nice things that he refuses to wear.
His sister-Mia-helped us put a fit together. She chose a black, Ralph Lauren long sleeve sweater type shirt, some jeans and Timberlands. It's not too much out of my comfort zone, which is good. I even got a fresh haircut earlier.
