Meeting Noah's family was never in my plans. Once again I'm almost certain that this isn't what flings do. If anything, this is relationship territory.

Stunned, I still manage to be polite and shake his sister, Hannah's hand, as she watches me with curious eyes. And because I don't know her, I can't tell if her look is a good or bad curious.

Either way it makes me nervous.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Daisy." I say back to her.

I can tell she's waiting for me to continue my introduction.

I'm Daisy: Noah's friend.

I'm Daisy: Noah's girlfriend.

I'm Daisy: Noah's fuck buddy.

Absolutely not! None of those responses are neither appropriate nor do they define us.

If I wanna get technical, yes we're friends but in reality we are much more. Because also realistically, I don't fuck my friends.

"We go to school together." Noah is quick to add. And my God I'm so glad that he did.

Hannah nods her head, accepting that answer. "I see."

Noah clears his throat. "What are you doing here?" And I can tell that he's trying to sound normal but I hear the annoyance in his voice.

"Here with some friends. We came to bowl." She responds with a smile and a shrug. "Did you guys just get here as well?"

"No. Yes." Noah and I both say at the same time.

Yikes. My bad.

"I meant, no." I lie. Great save Daisy.

That causes Hannah to burst into laughter. The kind of laughter that makes me wanna laugh as well but I hold mine in.

"Why are you trying to lie to me you little asshole!" She punctuates that with a small punch to his arm.

Noah seems annoyed that we got dragged into playing a round of bowling with Hannah and her friends. Which all have been very nice.

Only one of them already knew Noah. Nancy. But the other two, Hunter and Ellie didn't. So it's nice to know that I'm not the only person who's new here.

Inside, we head all the way upstairs to where the bowling alley is. It's pretty big. There's ten lanes on one side and ten more on the opposite side and in the middle you have a food court with some tables.

At the main counter stands a tall, thin gentleman with bifocals and a short blonde woman. They very much remind me of Morey and Babette from Gilmore Girls.
