Chapter 29: I Will Be Your Assasin

I was sitting inside my car when I passed by a familiar alley. It was currently being demolished and there's a huge construction going on. I heard this place will be turned into a Hotel.

Ipinark ko ang aking kotse sa gilid nito. Nakita ko ang mga dating kapitbahay na hindi umaalis sa lugar na iyon, tila mga pulubi na naghihintay na maambunan ng grasya. Kanya kanyang latag ng kanilang mga sapin sa sahig at kita ang mga bandera nila sa pagrarally.

"Ate pahinging pambili ng pagkain." Napatingin ako sa grupo ng bata na ngayon ay nasa tabi ko. Limang maduduming bata ang ngayon ay nakalahad ang palad sa harap ko. Mabilis akong kumuha ng pera mula sa bulsa ko at iniabot sa kanila labis naman ang tuwa nila at tumakbo papunta sa magulang nila.

I sighed deeply.

Everthing has really changed.

For worse.

I was about to start my car when chaos started again. I just watched silently inside my car.

Kahit ang mga maliliit na bata ay nakikisali sa mga batuhan sa magkabilang kampo. I almost flinched when I saw the kid hit someone, napahawak ako sa manibela ko at napaayos ng upo.

I saw Thor walked towards the kid, he was shouting and he was gritting his teeth in anger. The kid doesn't look bothered and even attempted to tease him.

The next thing I knew, he was pointing a gun to the kid.

"Fuck." I whispered and opened my car door and rushed towards them.

But I was too late,

The loud gunshot echoed throughout the place. I was stucked to where I was standing seeing the kid lying lifeless on the ground.

Everyone froze on where they were standing, everyone looked so shocked and scared.

I just found myself holding Thor's collar tightly. His face looked shocked as well.

"What the fuck did you just do?!" I shouted at him. I can feel my rage tears forming.

"He pissed me off." He said defending himself as if that was a valid response.

"He was just a kid!" I don't know what's happening around us, I could hear siren of ambulance but all I could feel was rage and anger.

Thor pushed me away.

"What's happening---" Loki just arrived and he looked flustered as well on what he saw. Pabalik balik ang tingin nito sa batang duguan at kay Thor. I can saw him clenching his jaw and held Thor's shoulder.

"Kuya." He called him coldly.

"What?!" He shouted furiously.

Loki went to the kid and tapped the shoulder of the agonizing mother. Rinig na rinig ang palahaw nito sa pagkamatay ng kanyang anak.

"Anak kooo!" Palahaw nito.

"We will compensate the damage." He handed a card to the woman. I bet it was a calling card.

Are they fucking kidding me?

I laughed sarcastically, I just can't believe what the fuck am I witnessing. He handed her the card as if it would make things right.

I know I have killed a lot of people but killing someone innocent, moreover, a kid disgust me.

I glared at Thor, he just avoided my eyes and walked away as if nothing happened.

I walked out and drove away.

My heart was very heavy. If they can kill someone innocent, how much more to those who are not? It was a hard reality but I guess I have to accept they were not the one they used to be.

We were no longer those kids.

We were no longer friends.

We were no longer innocent.

Siya agad ang bumungad sa akin pagdating ko sa bahay. He was outside, wearing lose shirt and a cargo pants.

"Tagal mo ah." Bati nito. Gusto ko man makipag pilosopahan sa kanya tila wala akong lakas gawin ito. I just smiled at him.

"Busy." I answered shortly.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

The way he asked me feels like a thunderstrike. I could suddenly feel all the pain and emotion in my heart.

I walked slowly towards him and hugged him tight. I burried my face on his chest and let my tears flow down on my face.

I could smell his manly perfume with a hint of minty cigarrete, his warm body was enough to comfort me.

He hugged me back and tapped my back slowly.

We were hugging for so long until my feet started hurting. I let go and slightly pushed him away.

He looked very worried.

"Sorry." I apologized for breaking down.

He sighed and pulled my hand, he opened his car and and pushed me inside. I don't know where we're going but I let him drove away.

We were silent the whole ride until we came on the edge of the cliff.

This is where we went before when made a deal.

I smiled and went out of the car. I run towards the edge and closed my eyes. I could feel cold air brushed my skin and swayed my hair.

I felt his presence beside me, I did not even hear him walk towards me. We both looked at the city lights. He pulled me down to sat down the edge so we sat down together.

"It was hard, isn't it?" He started. I just nodded and forced myself not to cry again.

Kinuwento ko sa kanya ang nangyari and he doesn't even looked shocked. It was as if that was normal.

"That's why you cannot just trust anybody in this world. You were friends yesterday, the next day, you'll find yourself killing each other." He commented.

It looks like he was used to this life and nothing suprises him now.

"I treated someone as my brother, almost spent my whole life serving him. Then the next thing I knew, he was attacking me behind my back. But that's how this world works, you just have to accept and move forward."

I looked at his face. He was just staring blankly ahead, it looked like he has a lot of things inside his mind.

Is he referring to Sebastian?

He looked at me and our eyes met. My heart was beating fast just by looking at him. His hair swayed with the wind, and the moon lit up his face.

"Would you like to get out of this world with me?" I asked. He smiled then held my hand.

"I'll go wherever you go. I'll follow you even in hell, I will be your assasin, I will kill anyone for you."

I was speechless. I felt like my heart just exploded. He pulled me close and I just stared into his eyes, I cannot even move.

The next thing I knew, his lips touched mine.
