Chapter 30: Surprise

"Puyat ka ba?" Tanong ni Chase pagpasok ko sa loob ng conference room.

Napahawak naman ako sa ilalim ng aking mata, I could feel my eyes swelling dahil sa kakaiyak ko at dahil na rin sa puyat.

How the hell am I supposed to sleep after that kiss?!

"Hoy." Tawag nito sa akin. Nakakunot ang noo nito at nagtataka sa kilos ko. I cleared my throat and smiled at him.

"Napuyat ako kakareview ng mga binigay mo, hays." Umakto pa ako na binubuklat buklat ang mga folder, parang naniwala naman ito at tumango.

Ilang minuto pa ay pumasok na rin si Sif, Pierce at Archer. Pagpasok pa lamang ni Archer ay nakangiti na ito sa akin, tinaasan ko lamang siya ng kilay.

"Morning boss." Bati ni Archer.

"Goodmorning." Sabay na bati ni Sif at Pierce.

"Since we're all complete, we can start now." Sabi ni Chase. I tried to focus on what they're talking about but his face keeps flashing in my mind.

"Aphrodite?" Napabalikwas ako ng tawagin ako ni Sif. They were all looking at me as if waiting for something.

"H-ha?" nagkatinginan silang lahat at kumunot naman ang noo ni Chase he suddenly touched my forehead.

"May sakit ka ba? Okay ka lang?" He asked.

"Wala. I'm sorry I'm zoning out." I apologized.

"This is very important Aphrodite." Halata ang pagkainis sa boses ni Sif.

Umirap siya at muling inulit ang mga sinasabi niya. This time, I tried to focus as much as I could. Nilatag nila ang kanilang plano para sa darating na event, Archer handed over them the guest list but I did not bother to look at it. For sure all their allies would be there. I'm sure Nightmare would be there as well.

"We will kill anyone who gets in our way, even it means killing everyone on that place." Pierce suggested.

"We have to be discreet and keep the casualty low as much as possible." I added.

"The place will be guarded by high profiled assasins 24/7, there will be a lot of mafia leaders, politicians and high profiled drug lords. Our goal is to avoid casualty on our side as much as possible." Sif added.

There were times that she's nosy and annoying. But she was the best trainer in Donovan, every assasin that we have went through her and it's understandable to feel attachment to her underlings.

After almost forever of discussion, we ended the meeting and they all went back to their own business.

Sif went back to training grounds to train more assasins, Pierce went out as well and Archer was just busy reading all paperworks infront of him.

Nagpaalam na rin si Chase dahil dadalaw daw ito sa papa niya. Matagal na rin ng huling makita ko si Sylvester and I heard he was busy with their business.

Tumingin ako kay Archer na kanina ay busy sa pagbabasa ngayon ay busy na sa pagcecellphone. Parang may ka-chat pa ito at nakakakunot pa ang noo niya.

"I have to go." Paalam nito. Hindi na ako sumagot at hinayaan na siyang tuluyang lumabas ng pinto. I suddenly got curious with Archer, bigla bigla na lamang ito nawawala at madalas ay advance ang mga information na alam nito. Spying and getting information was such an easy task for him.

I just realized I don't even know them that deep. I don't know how did they end up here, and I don't know how long they've been here. I don't know what they do aside from being Donovan and don't know what they like doing.
