Chapter 17

POV: Oliver
I walk into the hospital hallway with Roy.

"What's up?" I ask

"What's up? Did you seriously just ask me that? You found a girl unconscious in the foundry yesterday and took care of her, found out that she knows your, our secret and Felicity was later attacked at her house and you did not feel the need to tell me? And are you not at least a little bit nervous about this girl knowing our secret, i mean your the man that threatens to kill Barry after finding out your secret." he whisper-yells

"I know I'm sorry, there is just something about her that makes me feel like I can trust her and she knew our secret for a while why not go to the police? She obviously respects our secret. Also I've been a little busy to do anything about it because I've been Felicity worrying about her all night" I say

"Ok, fine but I don't trust Macy and think you need to do something about it, now I need to go Dig is feeling better but has no idea what is going on and will freak once he does so I'm going to go take care of that." he says then walks away.

POV Felicity

"Macy" I say and she looks up from the books on her lap

"Yes?" She says

"Why did you go back to the foundry today?"

"I told you to figure out who hurt you, and those same people are the ones who have gone after me my whole life. I don't think it is a coincidence that right after I become frien- acquaintances that they came after you"

"Well now that we are friends we will do stuff together, we'll watch each other backs and Oliver, Roy, Dig and I will protect you. But just be careful what your getting yourself in, think about it, you might gain but you also lose" I say

"Ok, so what do you gain and lose, with getting into this?"

"I lost my chance at a normal life but gained a chance to change the world and make a difference, its a roller coaster though"

"Is the ride worth it?" Macy asks me and I pause and think about it

"I'm not sure yet, I'll tell you when it's over, right now all I can tell you is that there are time that you just want to keep riding, but, there are some time when you want to get off cause your done with it. The outcome of the ride just depends on which one takes over first" I say just as Oliver walks back in.

"What takes over first?" Oliver asks

"The roller coaster ride that-" Macy starts but I interrupt

"Where's Roy?" I ask and give Macy a look as to not talk about that stuff and she looks back at the book on her lap and reads.

"Went to go see Dig" Oliver says

"Ok" i say

"How are your arms?" Oliver asks Macy who didn't hear him because she is sucked into her book.

"Ma-cy" he says smiling as I laugh

"Yea, sorry what?" Macy asks without looking up from her book

"I said how are your arms? bookworm" Oliver say then pulls the book away from Macy who tries to fight back but it is no use.

"Hey that's mine!!" She says

"I'll give it back in a minute, wow I wish Thea was this enthusiastic about reading" Oliver says

"My are are fine, they hurt a little but the cream and medicine are helping"

"And I the stitches?" I say

"Ok, my sister is the only one that knows about them. Now can I have my book back I was just about to get to the part where Clary finds out she's not a mundane"
