Why?

Chapter 31

POV-Felicity

Macy comes over my house, after she is done with team arrow for the day, to watch a movie and to eat dinner.

During dinner, which consists off microwavable soup, and grilled cheeses that are burned, Macy goes on and on about the usual stuff. She talks about how she doesn't like her family and none of them truly understand her and how she is going to have to watch Brynne all while she balances school work, team arrow and QC things. I offer to help her and she agrees to it. The conversation soon turns towards me and Oliver's relationship.

"So how is 'team arrow'?" I ask

"Oliver, is doing okay. He's still stubborn and is set on giving you space, even when he struggles to function sometimes. I can tell that he gets frustrated with me sometimes when, I'm on comms. He'd much rather have you." She says.

"Macy, no, not this again. That's not going to happen. I like having a normal life now, with a normal job, normal friends and a normal boyfriend" I say, regretting that I ever asked her the question.

"Normal is SO overrated" She says

"I don't know I'm kinda liking it. It's nice. I've never really had normal in my life, my family was very untraditional." I say then quickly start taking before she can say anything else. "Let's watch our movie now so you don't get home super late"

We watch about an hour of the the movie when the light and the screen go dark. Then suddenly the screen lights up with a blue Diamond surrounded with red. 

"You pay attention to the wrong things. You are worrying about how much money and power you have and never worrying about your  families. If things don't change I will make them. This is brother eye warning you" A voice from the screen says, everything goes dark for a moment and then back to normal.

Instantly Macy's phone ring and she answers it. "Yeah I saw it....no I'm still at Felicity's....Um probably, if not I know a blonde IT genius that may be able to help....but why? We can use her....fine, I'll be there in a few" she says and hangs up her phone.

"That was Oliver, he wants me to go to the Foundry do when the brother eye guys acts again I can find when he's broadcasting from and we can stop him." She says

"It's ok, go" I say

"You know, I could really use some help" she says

"Macy, you'll be fine if you really can't do it then I will help, I'm sure you can though."

"Well, we will just see" she says and then gets her stuff and goes.

Soon after Macy leaves I go to bed at a normal time. Which is nice considering the fact that when I worked on team arrow I was there all hours of the night and barely had anytime to sleep.

The next morning I go to work, everything seeming normal. I don't see Oliver although, I never do anymore. Diggle stops by and gives me coffee while I'm on the phone with Ray but, doesn't stay to talk. For lunch Ray picks me up and we go to a nice restaurant. I wish I could have stayed with him all day but, I had to get back for a meeting. At the end of the day, at 5:00 I go to a daycare to pick up Brynne to watch her, as I do every Thursday.

It's only when I'm cooking us dinner, Mac and cheese and some fruit, when the lights go out again and once again the screen lights up with the eye.

"You were warned, yet you still refuse to change. Maybe you need a little motivation...like losing your business. Maybe than it will motivate you to pay more attention to you're family and kindness. This is your last warning before we take action." A voice says just as the last time, than soon the lights return to normal.

I run over to were Brynne sits in my living room crying and, pick her up to consul her.

Once I calm her down my phone rings. "Hello" I say into it.

"Felicity! I need you to come to the foundry. I'm not sure what to do this virus is huge and it shutting down all of Starling City's power and the banks are going to shut down. Please help I have no idea what to do. This isn't one of my plans to get you and Oliver together, I promise. I-" Macy yells into my phone

"Okay, just calm down I'll be there in a few. See if someone can get some Mac and cheese or little people food if you can."

"Little people food? Ok, right it's Thursday you have Brynne" she says

"Yeah, I'll be there in a few" I say into the phone before hanging up and getting into my car to go to the foundry.
