Why?

Chapter 28

POV:Oliver

One week, seven days, that's how much time Felicity set. Its been 3 days since she decided that she would be leaving team arrow, as she likes to call it. She believes that after 7 more day with advising and helping Macy, she would be able to take over. The truth is no one can replace Felicity. Not even Macy who is almost was a replica of Felicity, key work almost.

I'm not just going to say by to her at the end of the 7 days, no I need to do something that will help me change her mind, the thing is, it will be nearly impossible. Felicity is stubborn and persistent, whatever she puts her mind to, she can accomplish.

I walk down the steps to foundry to find Felicity and Macy sitting side by side at the computers and Roy and Diggle sparring. Never did I imagine that I would be working with others.

I walk toward the computers. The blue chair with the black hair flowing over the sides and the black wheel chair, that has a golden pony tail. I hear the tapping of the keys on the computer, and there quite whispers.

I set up behind Felicity's chair and put my hand in he shoulder, she instantly jumps, and I feel hurt. Before she would not have done anything but now that she is leaving, she's trying to cut ties with the rest of us, she's has been quieter and more reserved, to everyone but Macy.

"Hey" I say

"Good Morning" Macy says, not turning around from her computer

"What are you guys doing?" I ask

"Oh you know the usual, talking about food and racing to see who can hack into the NSA data base first" Macy responds

"Right, because every 16 year old girl does that in her mornings" I say

"Of course! What else would i do, talk about boys and go to high school" Macy says sarcastically and I smile at the fact that she likes to joke around.

"Done" Felicity yells turning around in her chair, running into me, and I take a few steps back. "Good morning Felicity" I say sweetly

"Morning" she says with a smile pushing up here glasses.

"Hey no fair you cheated, I'm not sure how, but you cheated" Macy yells then gets up and walks towards duffle and Roy sitting by them watching them spar, and

Felicity rolls her eyes,then starts to pack up her stuff.

"Leaving so soon?" I ask

"Yep, I need to get to work on time for once, it's my first day back in the IT department" she says

"Well I can help you up the steps if you want" I say

"No need, we are using the back ally door, there is no steps there"

"Well then let me drive you to work"

"It's ok, Macy has her car and has to go to QC with me, you just got here and I'm sure you will have stuff to do" she says

"Fel-ic-ity, just because your leaving team arrow does not mean that we can't be friends anymore. You don't have to close up" I say

"I know, but our friendship practically revolves around the arrow"

"Well things can then be different, we can change it" I say

"Not now, Oliver I need to go." she says "Macy I'm going out to the car meet me there when your ready, don't be to long" she says wheeling away in her chair.

I look over to Macy who jumps up from where she ways sitting and puts papers away in here bag then walks over to the pile of books that have accumulated against the wall of the foundry, placing one in her bag.

"Macy?" I say

"Yep" she says turning around to look at me

"What should I do?" I ask her

"About Felicity?" She asks and I nod "well I have no personal experience with this situation or with any relationships with guys but I have read books that do and the guy always does something to make the girl have more trust in him, or something that makes her feel as if she was the only girl on the planet" she says

"Macy we aren't in a book!" I yell

"I know, but that's all I got, maybe you should not ask a 16 year old girl for relationship advice then." She snaps back

"Sorry" I say

"No it's ok, we aren't a book, but oh how I wish it was, because in books there is a set plot, our life would be all planned out and we would not have to worry about making the wrong decision because no matter what we would make the right one that goes with the plot and the over all lesson would be conveyed, our meaning of existence would be written out in black and white and all planned for us......but that's not the case and we have to make tough calls and risk it not working out and not fulfilling our meaning in life whatever it may be. So now with our world in our hands we must decide what we will do to make it the way we want, will we listen to what others say and be what they want us to be or will we will find ourself and figure out who we want to be in our own." She says.

After a few minutes of silence between us she speaks again. "I have to go now felicity is waiting. if you come into the office let me know and I'll be all intern like to you, if not I'll just work and do school work in Felicitys office" she says

"Ok, bookworm see you later" I say and with that she leaves me thinking.

What do I want to do with my life and does it include Felicity?

What about the arrow?
