Red. All I saw was red. Like the world was covered in little blood clots. I looked down and it was red. Blood covering my hands, blood covering Anne's shirt, blood splattered over her face. Did I do this? I couldn't have, I have been awake this whole time. Have I been awake? Did I pass out? Panic swallowed me whole looking down at myself. I coughed, feeling fluid in my throat, realizing blood was coming out of my mouth and nose, dripping continuously.

The keeper's wand was still over my heart pulling some of my soul away for Anne. Soon Anne will have a new life that awaits her. No more pain, no more suffering, just peace with her brother. I can see it now. Anne working in the garden as Sebastain is in the backyard practicing his spells while Ominis is sitting on the bench, occasionally looking down as his new love.

A shooting pain sprang from my chest pulling me away from my last peaceful thoughts. My breathing becoming uneven as the last of my soul were reaching the limits. I grabbed Anne's hand covered in blood. My wand filled with a red string of magic hanging off the end, it glowed brightly like a star. I touched Anne's chest with my wand, watching it as it glowed, disappearing slowly into her body. The curse was gone. It was replaced with a part of myself. My soul binding with hers, replacing the dark magic to give her life.

My breath becoming labored as I could barely keep myself up anymore. I laid back on the sand listening to the waves. Feeling the water hit my fingertips as the tide got closer up the shore.

"ANNE!!" Sebastian screamed off in the distance. "Damn it Ominis! I've had it with you!!! Expelliarmus!!"

I turned my head, my cheek laying on the cold sand. Ominis wand flew out of his hand, not quick enough to pull up a shield. Sebastian ran up to him, punching his jaw causing Ominis to fall landing directly on his back.

He rushed to Anne's side, shaking her violently.

"ANNE!! ANNE!! WAKE UP! Oh my god please please! PLEASE! Come on, come on wake up!!!" He screamed, tears streaming down his face.

"Sebastian!! God damn it I told you to wait!!!" Ominis yelled, finally getting up and rushing to my side. His warm hand touched my cheek, causing my eyes to finally look at him. I felt the ancient magic start to slip away.

"Shit shit shit!!! Ominis why won't she wake up!!! ALORA!" He screamed.

I pushed myself up on one elbow looking down at Anne. Why wasn't she awake? She should have been fine by now. Ominis grabbed my arm allowing me to lean on him as I went to grab her hand again.

No pulse.

"But I... I don't understand. She-She has part of my soul, I gave it to her."

Ominis grabbing her hand as well. Feeling no pulse. Panic stricken all over his face.

Sebastian cradled her lifeless body holding her against his chest, rocking her back and forth as he sobbed into her shoulder.

"Sebastian I-"

"Shut up SHUT UP SHUT UP!! I TOLD YOU TO WAIT!!"

I grabbed my chest where my heart was. The blood dripping down my shirt covering my hands.

"No, no no I did everything right! She was going to be fine!! I DID EVERYTHING RIGHT!"

My anxiety spiked; my heart thumped wildly thinking of the outcome. I did everything right! Didn't I? I took the curse, I gave her my soul to replace it. I know I didn't miss anything. She was supposed to be fine! I was the one that was supposed to die, not her!

"NOOO! ANNE I'M SORRY I'M SO SORRY!!" I screamed. I sobbed onto the sand, no longer having the strength.

"YOU KILLED MY SISTER!" Sebastian yelled at me.

Every fiber in my being broke inside hearing those words. Every exchanged glance we had with each other, every moment, every time he called for me was now replaced with those words. I was a killer, and he would never forgive me.

"Seb-SEB I'm so sorry I'm so sorry! Please.. I-I-I I didn't mean it! It was supposed to be me! I was going to die! NOT HER!! NOT HERRR PLEASE!!!"

Ominis cried beside me, no longer even able to look in my direction. His eyes only focusing on his dead lover now in her brother's hands.

"Sebastian she was dying, she-she we thought maybe-"

"SHUT UP SHUT UP!! SHE ONLY PUSHED HER TO HER DEATH FASTER AND YOU HELPED! DEPULSO!" Sebastian screamed, sending Ominis flying backwards, landing a few feet away on the sand. His body no longer moving.

He cradled Anne's sweet face kissing it before setting her back down on the sand. He stood up looking down at his sister before giving me a sinister look. The same look he gave his uncle before killing him.

I backed away slowly, using only my arms and legs to push myself further away on the sand. The shore crashing over my legs, soaking my clothes.

"Sebastian please I wasn't supposed to live. She was supposed to get everything!" I yelled at him.

He stepped over his sister body, coming closer to me taking step by step. My heart felt like it was on fire. I looked down at my hand seeing the dark veins start to dissipate into my skin. Why wasn't the curse killing me? Why wasn't I dead yet?

"I told you to wait, I told you to stop. Now look at what you've done! My sister is dead because of you!!"

"Sebastian please, PLEASE BELIEVE ME! I'd do anything, let me try again l-let me-"

"NO! You've done enough!" he yelled now standing directly over me. "You of all people, I never thought you'd be the one. I told you to stay away from me Alora! YOU didn't listen to me! Now look!" he pointed to Anne laying on the sand, lifeless. "My sister is dead! I NEVER GOT TO SAY GOODBYE, I'll NEVER FORGIVE YOU!"

"Sebastian... I'm so sorry. Please believe me this wasn't supposed to happen I was just trying to help..."

I looked up at his eyes, his brown orbs now only filled with hate. I flinched away from him watching him raise his wand to me. If this was how I was supposed to die... by somebody I loved... so be it.

I closed my eyes, waiting for the moment of the green flash of light hit me. Waiting for my life to end. Holding my breath so I could finally slip into a dark sleep. Forgetting everything I've done.

"Sebastian.....?"
