*Ominis POV*

Her black hair swinged as she walked, the sun beating down on her beautiful face. Waving goodbye to her as she left my side. She always wore a size too big of a shirt, comfortable in her yellow soft sweaters with the Hufflepuff insignia on it. The way her jeans fit her just right, her curves conforming to her body in all the right areas with of course, her tied up combat boots. It was always difficult, getting to see her outlines due to my blindness but I always found ways of being able to see her, even when she didn't know I was looking.

I raised my wand a little higher in the air, seeing the fragments of her with Poppy and Garreth. They were talking for a short moment. Their eyes eventually finding that I was still standing on the sand.

She laughed with them for a short moment before moving on to the castle.

Garreth went back towards his books while Poppy came walking up to me.

"You know I didn't even realize you had even came to the shore, you're quite sneaky for someone who's blind."

I laughed slightly, moving to sit on the few rocks near the water.

"Well........ got to have one or two things up my sleeve."

She chuckled slightly, moving over to sit next to me.

Hearing Garreth's voice in the distance throwing a fit as he clearly couldn't get the rock to skip across the water.

"You know...... you surprised me Ominis." Poppy said softly.

"How so?"

"I mean.......... don't get me wrong I'm happy for her but in the same respect, I was rooting for you all along."

"I have no idea what you are talking-"

"Oh don't play dumb with me Ominis, don't you know by now girls talk? Plus, the number of times I visited her in the hospital for the first week after you guys came back from the forbidden forest...... she told me everything you know."

I sighed, "Guess not....."

"She told me what you did..... that you saved her or at least were going to. That was pretty brave, I don't even think I'd have the courage to give up my life for someone else."

"Yeah well......... I couldn't watch her leave with them. The torture she must have already gone through while she was underneath the curse.... I bet was unimaginable enough."

"Yeah, she's a tough girl that's for sure. But she will make it through.... she always does." Poppy said calmly.

"So, what gives?" She finally asked after a moment of silence.

I huffed, frustrated I was getting pelted with so many questions already. "Nothing......... there's just nothing more I could do. Sebastian has had his claws in her since the very beginning. I wouldn't have stood a chance in the long run...."

"How could you have possibly known that without giving it a try first?"

I chuckled slightly, "Poppy, trust me. It wouldn't have mattered. I heard conversations that were behind closed doors. Her decision was made even before I had time to make my peace with it. I just didn't want to believe it the first time and the second time.... Well, is when it was actually all becoming real."

"Does she know that? That you knew?" She asked.

"No......... and if you don't mind keeping that between us, I'd appreciate it."

She huffed, breathing in the warm air as the breeze hit us slightly in the face. The waves reaching up closer to the shore as more time had passed.

"Well.......... that's a real shame Ominis. She would have been happy with you...."
