The school settled back into their normal routine after everyone came back from their holiday. Getting up early for class, making it till lunch and then on repeat. Homework, essays and the occasional walking out into the brisk cold to beast class. I continued my research on the maps, trying at all costs to not go to Professor Weasley regarding finding someone to decipher the damn thing. Staying up in the late hours in the library, pulling out everything they knew about it, goblins, there literature, even trying to learn how to speak it some so I could maybe educate myself a little further on the matter to better help myself, but nothing seemed to help.
I looked up at the clock and noticed it was just past 9, noticing most of the students had already left and the only sound was coming from the books that were flying above my head, moving back into their typical place on the shelves.
Groaning in frustration as my eyes got heavy, knowing eventually the librarian would come looking for me. Scolding me for staying up late again when she fairly knew I had class in the morning.
"Well, well, well, isn't it the princess." A voice jarred me out of my sleepy state. Looking up to find the one and only Imelda.
Her hair was pulled back in a high ponytail, with a few books that were attached to her side. Smirking and looking down at me.
"Imelda." I said wiping the sleep from my eyes.
"What's wrong?" She asked. "Staying up too late being fucked by every boy in this school already?"
I laughed, not trying to take her seriously as a slight ping to my heart sounded. "Definitely not..... don't you have better things to do with your time than to badger me?" I asked.
She smirked, knowing she was already starting to get to me. Dropping her books down on my table, causing the entire table to shake.
"I just came to remind you, everyone knows you know.....how you are two timing Sebastian, Ominis, Garreth and even Leo. Can't keep your legs shut long enough? Who's next? Going to go after Amit next? Or even Leander? Huh slut?"
I rubbed my hands over my face, slightly laughing at her comments as she really knew nothing about me or what the circumstances were.
"You know Imelda, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you were jealous."
She scoffed, throwing her hands down on the table in disbelief.
"Jealous. Jealous!? As if I'd ever be jealous of somebody who literally opens their legs for any man possible to get it in!"
I stood up slowly, grabbing my things from the table. "You know Imelda, I'd love to stay and chat, but I really don't have time to hear you talk about shit you really have no idea about." I said nonchalantly.
"As if, everyone knows you've been sneaking around the school with both Sebastian and Ominis, running off into the forbidden forest for god knows what!" She raised her voice.
I rolled my eyes, moving past her as I rounded the corner of the table. My back to her as I refused to answer her ridiculous accusations.
"You know I bet that's what you did with Professor Fig!" She yelled from behind me.
I stopped in my tracks, hearing his name come off her lips.
"Ohhhh struck a nerve, didn't I?" She taunted.
My grip around my books tightened as I felt my knuckles wanting to break. I closed my eyes, taking deep breaths, trying to get myself to move forward and not let her get to me. But the pictures of him, falling to his death, not being able to do anything as I just stood there.
