Chapter 38: You knew

"I warned you Gaunt, you pushed it too far!" Sebastian yelled from the door, rushing his way towards us.

Ominis stepped in front of me, shielding me from Sebastian as he pulled out his wand in defense.

"Ominis! What are you-" 

"Oh don't look so surprised Sebastian, jealous are you?" Ominis said.

 Sebastian and Ominis glared at each other, intensity filling the air as I watched from Ominis shoulder. 

"Alora I'm so sorry me and Garreth tried holding-" Poppy spoke from behind as Garreth had ahold of her arm in protection.

"Don't worry about it Poppy. Go back inside, I'll be okay." 

I nodded to her, Garreth's eyes meeting mine as I motioned for him to go. 

Ominis grabbed ahold of my hand which I took gracefully as I matched Sebastian cold hard glare. 

"What the hell is going on?" I asked Sebastian.

Sebastian held out his arm for me to take, I looked down at his hand suspiciously. 

"She doesn't want to go with you Sallow." Ominis spoke as he glared at him.

"Alora, come with me." Sebastian asked. 

"No, go back to your date Sebastian."

He groaned in frustration as he looked at Ominis. "You did this didn't you, you turned her against me."

I scoffed as Ominis laugh escaped him. "You did that yourself Sebastian, I'm sorry but your too late, she wants to be with me."

My heart fell out of my chest when Ominis mentioned that I wanted to be with him. My heart thumping wildly looking at the two of them, feeling utterly conflicted which brought tears to my eyes. 

"Alora, please." Sebastian spoke as his eyes found mine.

I took a step away from the both of them, my back feeling the coldness from the railing. 

"No Sebastian...... I gave you so many chances. I... I told you and you just... decided to go down another path. I can't keep doing this...." I said, my voice trailing off as I felt my throat as it was going to close up. The lump in my throat feeling larger.

"Alora please, you don't understand! I-" Sebastian said taking a step closer to me.

Ominis cut his off as he tried taking a step closer, his eyes finding Sebastian's as he grabbed his shoulder.

"Back. Off. I'm not going to ask you again." Ominis said harshly.

Sebastian pulled out his wand in defense. 

"Get your bloody hands off me Gaunt, I won't hold back this time." 

I felt sick watching the two of them, my body going cold from the death glare they gave eachother.

"Go ahead, the only person you're hurting is her at this point!" Ominis yelled in his face.

"You both! Thats enough!" I yelled.

"Because you just had to take away the one thing that I might have had! You just couldn't help yourself Gaunt!"

Ominis dropped his hand, taking a step-in front of me again as in a protective way. Shielding me from Sebastians gaze.

"Your done Sebastian, its over! Go back to your date you left in those halls by herself! You are the only one to blame!!!"

"I took her to the damn ball, if I want to go be with someone else, I can do just that! Your blind ass can't do anything about it!" Sebastian yelled.
