*Happy New Year everyone!!! Here is the next chapter!!! Enjoy! :) *
*Alora POV*
When I found out I was born with this gift, I felt anybody would have felt the same as I have. Maybe proud or happy.... maybe even excited. I know I sure did, for atleast alittle while. But instead of it being a gift, it started to feel as though it was a large burning sensation in my heart that kept getting bigger. Leaving others in a worse situation than before, putting the ones I loved on the line for a gift that was never my choosing to have.
Is it possible that maybe whoeveer gifted me with this power could have gotten it wrong? That maybe I was not the one meant for the job. That maybe fate should only decide whats good for someone and not the wish of somebody else?
I sighed heavily, looking at the final repository as it was spiraling out of control. I knew what I had to do. To make things right.
"Oh Professor Fig, forgive me.........." I whispered.
I felt the ancient magic flow through me, climbing through my wand as it connected with the repository. Grabbing my wand with two hands as I felt it push against me.
"Ugh! Shit!" I yelled.
The dark red magic began to swirl around me, beginning to break away, one by one.
My eyes shifted back over to Ominis and Sebastian, there eyes connecting with mine in worry as they clearly watched me struggle.
I felt the fire in my eyes once again, the magic electrifiying deep within myself as it tugged at my will.
The repository was becoming completely unmanagable as it tried reaching further into the sky. The reflection of the light beaming off the clouds, turning the sun and sky a dark red.
"Oh no.... you... DON'T!!!" I yelled.
The intensity of the magic dropped me down to one knee, the weight of it causing me to lose my balance as I huffed out in exhaustion.
"Alora!" Sebastian yelled.
I looked over, seeing them both run to my aid.
"Damn it you two! I told you to stay there!!" I said, out of breath.
"Nevermind that, what can we do!" Sebastian asked quickly.
"Fucking hell! Just..... Ugh! Help me to my feet!" I said.
Both Ominis and Sebastian came behind me near my shoulders on each side. Their hands going underneath my arms as they pushed me upwards.
Once they got me to my feet, I looked back up at the repository, seeing it slowly start to crack.
"You got this!" Sebastian said on my left.
"You can do this Alora, we know you can!" Ominis said, on my right.
I reached down within myself, feeling for a last bit of energy and strength.
With one quick motion, I released as much magic as I could muster with one final push towards the repository, seeing the white light being released from my wand.
The magic broke loose from my hold as it shot me, Sebastian and Ominis to the ground in a shock wave of air and pressure.
I quickly turned to look as the magic reached the repository. The insides of it twisting and turning as it broke in a large ball of light. Blinding us all as we shielded our eyes.
A combustion noise of magic filled our ears as it had finally broken. Millions of tiny goblin silver pieces were falling from the sky, traces of ancient magic trickling down as little crystals of light were falling around us.
