Sylvia pulled into her new apartment in LA. She dreaded it nonetheless. She cursed her dad for running away to start a new family when her mom became sick, taking all the money with. She hated him with every bone in her body.

"Ok El we're here, what do you think" Sylvia said while getting out of the car. "It's really... disappointing" she disapproved. "I know I'm sorry we don't have a lot of money right now, but I promise I will find a job soon" Sylvia tried her best to cheer her up. The last thing she needed right now was an angry 5 year old complaining to her.

Eliana was just a kid and going through all of this family drama. She nodded her head a bit while looking around with a look on her face. Sylvia  walked up to apartment 3 and unlocked it. Praying it wasn't infested in a disease.

"see isn't that bad" Sylvia sighs to El. There was a little kitchen off to the right and a living room with one couch to the left and a hallway with 4 doors. "I promise I'll clean every week" Sylvia murmured to her sister while walking back to the car to get our stuff out. "Can you take mom inside please" Sylvia asks Eliana.

Their mom is on a wheelchair right now. Sylvia has to find a doctor around here to get her meds and a monitor. First day here, already a lot to do.

El pushed their mom into the apartment while Sylvia got all the boxes from the car and put them inside. "Ok that pile of boxes is yours, did you choose your room yet?" She asks her sister. "Yeah it's the first door to the left" she giggled. "Ok you should start decorating and unpacking then" Sylvia said already tired.

"Ok!" She jumped up picking up a box and ran to her new room. Sylvia internally groaned, just wanting to go crash down onto a bed. After all she did just drive 5 hours to the valley. Sylvia wheeled her into her room and started unboxing her stuff which was quite boring.

It was mostly pictures of her back in the old days and her medications which were almost empty. Sylvia groans picking up a collecting dust glass art. Sylvia took the glass and went to the kitchen to rinse it off, she turned on the faucet for the water to not touch the glass one bit but to splatter all over her. "Motherfucker." Sylvia smacks the sink off.

Sylvia finally finished her mom's room after a few hours and decided to go to the mini mart she drove past to get some dinner for them. Sylvia walked into the store and saw a blonde man who looked pretty drunk it was a little scary honestly, and a young dark haired boy next to him. Sylvia quickly grabbed some water bottles and snacks for her and her sister and got in line behind the boy.

The drunk guy was having an argument with the cashier person. Then the cashier muttered something in Spanish and the boy started smiling, holding back a laugh.

"what did you just say?" The blonde said in a threatening tone. When he didn't get an answer he turned to the boy next to him and asked what he said again. "you don't wanna know" he replied.

"I know it's something bad. Just tell me."

"uh, he said you have a tiny..." and started gesturing.

"you said I have a tiny wang? Tell him he has a tiny wang"

"I speak English asshole"

"oh really" he sarcastically asked and threw the money at him, snatched the pizza and left.

The boy in front of Sylvia finished paying and she went and payed for her stuff. The boy was by a counter near the door looking at something on his phone. Sylvia walked out putting the bags into her car.
