Chapter 27

{season 3 episode 7}

Over the next week Miguel's been doing workouts like lifting the coffee table up and doing obstacle course in the back of the complex. He's learned how to walk again.

They even had a dramatic moment where they threw away the crutches and wheelchair. They right now are in sensei's apartment thinking of names for the new dojo.

"Come on sensei im trying to think of names for our new dojo" Miguel said. "How long does it take for Facebook messages to get delivered? Ali lives in Colorado so probably a while, right" Sensei asked.

"It's instantaneous" Miguel answered. He slammed the laptop shut. "We need something that tells everyone we're the most bad ass dojo in the valley." Sensei said.

"Yeah. It sucks that Cobra Kai's such a badass name." Miguel sighs. "What if we just keep that? But we spell our cobra with a K. They can call us triple K." Sensei said. "Like KKK?" Sylvia raises a brow. "Yeah it's probably a bad idea"

FIRST PERSON-

We walked into school and everyone was cheering and clapping for Miguel. Hawk came and talked about cobra Kai but the bell rang. We walked through a hallway and saw Demetri. "Hey the comeback kid! Welcome back. I hope to make a similar triumphant return to the land of the mobile appendage masses" Demetri said. "What?" I mumbled confused. "What's up with the cast?" Miguel asked. "Proximal radius fracture." He replied. Yasmine comes over to us. "It smells." There was a moment of silence. "I put a lemon ring down there to mitigate that. The invitation for you to sign it still stands." Demetri said and pulled out a sharpie. "Hard pass. At least when you used to be a thorn in my tits, you were getting me an A in science. Now you can't even do that because you're defective" she said and walked away. "Uh- so how did you break your arm?" I asked. "You've got a lot to catch up on" he said.

As we walked around waiting for our class to start Demetri told us all about how the Cobra Kai's and especially Hawk were bullying them. Not bullying but like physically assaulting too. "Hey I need to stay back the teacher wants to catch me up or something I'll see you after school?" I ask Miguel after class when lunch started.

"Yeah see you" he replies and walks to the cafeteria. The bell rang and I walked out the classroom. I went over to Miguel who was putting books away. "Hey, so what happened in the cafeteria?" I asked. Before he got to answer someone banged on the wall next to us. We both looked over and saw sensei, standing in our school. "Sensei? How did you get through security" Miguel asked looking around.

"I went to school here. Think I don't know all the secret ways in and out? Hey got some good news. Found us a pretty sweet spot for our new dojo." sensei said. "Really?" I mumbled. "How's the recruiting coming?" He asked. Miguel shook his head and started walking away. We both followed. "That bad?" Sensei asked. "It's just everything's changed, sensei. Cobra Kai, they all drank the Kool-aid." Miguel said. "Kool aid? What's wrong with Kool aid?" Sensei asked. "It's just sensei kreese is turning them into a army of assholes. There's no convincing them to leave." Miguel said.

We all went over to Hawk and his Cobra Kai's even though sensei told us to wait. "Ok, listen up!" Sensei yelled. "I screwed up. And I'm sorry. I made it about me and that's not what a sensei does. I took the easy way out. I gave up. What happened here at this school. It rocked me to my core. I couldn't look myself in the eye let alone face all of you." Sensei said gesturing around.

"Yeah. I guess it makes it easier to tell yourself that. But the truth is, you bailed on us long before that fight happened. You got soft. And we paid the price." Hawk said stepping a little closer.

"Now you listen up. When you came into my dojo, you were softer than a baby's ass. I made you what you are not Kreese. He doesn't give a shit about you. About any of you. So if you wanna keep whining about the past like a bunch of pussies, fine we could play that game. Wanna stick with Kreese? Go ahead. Don't say I didn't warn you when your life ends up in the shitter. Or you could sack up. And join my dojo. Havenhurst and Magonolia, tomorrow at 4. If you wanna save yourselves, train the right way. You better be there" sensei said and walked off. "And don't be late!" He yelled and smacked a bunch of books off a random kids hand. I looked at Miguel who was smirking. "Miguel that's a park" I whispered.

After school I went job hunting again because I had to quit the cafe and the restaurant for school. But that quickly ended because I had to go to the local park for training. Sensei did another speech mainly about how the park is our dojo or something. Our dojo name is Eagle Fang... we got these shirts with eagles on it and we had to put it on. I looked behind sensei and saw Hawk and 2 other Cobra Kai's. "Sensei look" Miguel said. Sensei turned around and turned back around. "Still got it" he said chuckling.

After Hawk stopped walking Kyler and Tory followed. After Tory Kreese and everyone else came. "I told you Cobra Kai for life" Hawk said. Kreese walked up to sensei and mumbled something. "They're strong and their true fighters. And they wouldn't make the mistake of showing mercy and ending up in a coma" Kreese yelled. Miguel started walking up but so did Hawk. They both backed up.
