We arrived to Eller territory which was in Austria. We were picked up by two small cars. It was a beautiful country as we passed by the small villages. The village we were heading to was near a river. The countryside was green with dense forests.
"Wow" Thomas gasped as we looked around. "This is so nice."
"I know" my jaw was almost on the ground. Ezra let out a violent sneeze.
"Great, I'm allergic" he rubbed his nose. His eyes were watering and his nose was running. "Guardians get allergies" he rolled his eyes.
Thomas and I laughed at him. When we arrived, a woman with gray hair was waiting for us. She had Byron's eyes, they looked like giant green emeralds. She was wearing light blue robes.
"Welcome" she put her hands together. Her eyes ran over each of us but they stopped on Byron. "It is a pleasure to host the Guardians and their respective mentors. We are honored that you have joined us."
"Thank you" Byron spoke up. "We are honored to be here. You have been gracious in allowing us to stay here with you."
"Let me show you to wear you will be staying" she waved us forward to follow her. "Guardians you will staying together in the little house by the side" she pointed at an adorable two story house. "Your mentors will have the side house" she pointed at the house feet away. "Byron if you would like to stay with me in my house"
My head turned to him. I couldn't make out his expression but he did nod.
"Wonderful, settle in and please join us for dinner" she walked us to our house. Ezra ran in dumping his things in the living room.
"This is a house for ants" he glanced around. He was right it was rather small.
"Don't complain" Thomas was walking up the stairs. I ran after him knowing that they would want to pick out the rooms.
"I'm the oldest. I get the biggest one" Ezra yelled after us. Ezra grabbed me by my wrist and pulled me backwards.
"No" I scorched his shirt. "I want it, I'm the only girl"
"Who cares" Thomas replied. "I need the biggest bed. I'm the tallest" he pushed both of us out of the way.
We stared at each other. The biggest room had the biggest bed and a bathroom.
I inched my way towards it. I lifted my hands up, my hands were blazing. Ezras hands were sparking and Thomas had a smile on his face.
"What are you three going on about?" Drake appeared. He chuckled at us. "Rooms? Let me solve it for you." He rubbed his hands together.
"Cheater" Thomas glowered at Ezra who joyfully jumped on his bed. Thomas laid down on his bed. It was comical to see his feet dangling off the bed. Ezra walked in and barked with laughter.
"Can I have it?" Thomas perked up.
"No" Ezra scoffed. Thomas gave him a rude gesture. "So I'm starving, can we go find food?"
We joined the Chief for dinner, we joined her table. Byron was seated right next to her. He looked really grumpy. He met my eyes and he smiled at me briefly. Chief Anika glanced at us. There was an expression on her face that I couldn't quite make out. I wondered if she suspected that there was something going on between us.
"Did you tell Ezra and Thomas?" Byron and I were walking along the river bank. His arms were around me as we walked.
"No, I don't know how to tell them" I admitted. "WE talked about everything else but abjout me and you." I leaned up to kiss his cheek. "Did you tell your grandmother that you and i are together?"
