Chapter Fifteen

Once Wei Ying was dressed and proper Lan Zhan finally entered with breakfast and saw Wei Ying was pouting, Lan Zhan did not wanted to take it far and he knew that it was his fault for the pout, but it was also Wei Ying's fault for teasing Lan Zhan that he went that far, thankfully Wei Ying reminded Lan Zhan that is "restraint" was tied on and that bought Lan Zhan out of his lustful daze and the answer was his escape plan yet he had heard Wei Ying shout and he couldn't help but laugh again only to be caught by his brother as he was walking to the kitchens.

"Wangji, is there a reason why Wei Ying is breaking the Lan principles this early"

"Mn" replied Lan Zhan as he continued walking to the kitchens followed by ZeWu-Jun

"I see, so what are you going to do to appease your betrothed?" smiled ZeWu-Jun

Lan Zhan was confused, yes, he had started it but he thought that a kiss would suffice instead it turned into a challenge one Lan Zhan was willing win.

"Wangji you can't leave him in such a manner it is... painful if not dealt with appropriately" said ZeWu-Jun trying to explain without embarrassing them both

"Mn" replied Lan Zhan as his brother gave him a sympathetic look and left, Lan Zhan looked at the breakfast and thought that he could at least make something extra, a few more dishes as an apology but he did not know what to make but then the gods who must have been sympathetic to him send someone.

"Second young master Lan, why are you here" smiled Jiang Yanli as she got over her shock

"Breakfast" said Lan Zhan

"I see, I can help you as I know all of A-Xian's favorites on the condition you make it yourself, I can also provide you with a recipe so that you can continue to make it in future" smiled Jian Yanli

Lan Zhan's ears burned when Jiang Yanli offered to help him make Wei Ying's favorite, but all Wei Ying's dishes were spicy and he wasn't sure if Wei Ying was allowed to have them just yet but maybe he could make an appropriate one.

"Don't worry, Wen Qing said that he can have his spices enough for flavor but not searing as he usually eats, not until he goes home and gets better," said Jiang Yanli

Lan Zhan "Maiden Jiang..."

Jiang Yanli "I know what happened to Wei Ying, the fact that everyone knew and was trying to help him is nice and I appreciate it but it hurts to know that he did not trust me enough to tell me"

Lan Zhan "It is not about trust, it's about protection"

"So, I have been told," said Jiang Yanli showing plainly her irritation at being protected

"Maiden Jiang, if you asked Wei Ying to return to Jiang sect, Wei Ying would. In a place that mistreated him you were the only one that was nice to him in the inner family, Wei Ying repays kindness with selflessness, so if you were to ask Wei Ying to give up everything for you... Wei Ying would" said Lan Zhan "Wei Ying protected you because Wei Ying did not want you to worry as you care, Wei Ying wanted you to remain happy, nor did Wei Ying wanted him to be the cause of dispute between you and your family"

Jiang Yanli watched as Lan Zhan washed the vegetables as he spoke his face never changed but she saw the sadness in his eyes enough to know that what Lan Zhan had said was true, she sighed and walked up to Lan Zhan and placed a gentle hand on his arm stilling him, Lan Zhan then looked at the small hand touching him before he slowly looked slightly up to Jiang Yanli's face which was smiling softly.

"Don't worry second young master Lan, I will not allow A-Xian back into the Jiang sect to be treated as he was before nor will I take him away from you on the condition that you never hurt my A-Xian, if you do hurt him... break his heart, I will make sure that you never see him again, he is my Didi after all and love him as such."
