Daphne

On the ride back home I'd told Damien the rest of the story that created the Daphne he'd met.

I'd told him about how there was a closed casket funeral and how I'd gotten a signal through a network only my mother and I knew about.

I'd been considering the possibility until now, I'd thought Semyon was stupid if he'd just taken a blueprint of a weapon he didn't know how to activate.

I was the only one who could activate it, not even my mother could.

The chances that Semyon actually thought of it were very high.

But I still didn't understand how Semyon Ivanov was alive, I'd put three bullets in his brain damn it!

I tried really hard to believe that it was just a coincidence that his army was regrouping.

But then I was more concerned about Damien.

He seemed pretty worn out and exhausted because of me, that I had to help him to his room when we got home.

"Guess I'm the only cure to your insomnia." I said pulling his blanket over his chest.

"You don't even know."he chuckled.

I turned to leave but I stopped and said,

"Damien,"

"Mm?"he muttered.

"Thank you for putting up with my shit and listening to my boring as hell life story, it really means a lot."I smiled in the darkness.

"The word boring could never be used to describe anything related to you."he mummered.

I smiled again.

He'd really helped me free myself from those bad memories I'd kept to myself.

The memories I was allowing to eat slowly away at me, the memories that had robbed me off my innocence.

"I wouldn't do it for anyone else."he yawned and seemed to had really drifted to sleep.

I smiled at his messy head that had retreated behind the covers and walked out.

Damien D'angelo was a good person, and I'd say I'd succeeded in gaining his trust .

Maybe I won't steal from him after all, maybe I will, only our future occurrences will tell.

~~~~~~
ze next morning.
I was in my workshop drawing up the plan for the mission.
Originally it was just going to be Damien and I but I had to add Aero and Ty to the mix.
I'd managed to get aerial footage from the cold withstanding drone I'd set up.
The Russian base we were breaking into was a transparent domed shaped building on the mounds of snow that had heaped up overtime.
It was built to withstand the cold and the snow.
The footage I'd gotten was practically impossible to get, there was an airspace that shoots down every detected weapon or machine.
But thanks to my genius I was able to get it.
There was one particular area I wasn't able to get in my footage, I hoped it wouldn't be a problem.
The dome was constructed in such a way that if there was ever an enemy attack, the enemy would have to divide.
And in the process the Russians would conquer.
But that was exactly what I wanted.
"Good morning." I said as my new automated doors slid open.
I didn't spare the Damien a glance and moved in my swivel chair towards my computer set up.
I was lost in the my endless screens of 0's and 1's, when Damien walked up behind me and looked over my shoulder.
Damien took a seat on my desk, and used his head to block my view of the screens.
He looked well rested and relaxed with his messed up black curls.
He was too close to my face for my liking so I backed up and asked,
"Is there something you'd like from me?"
He smirked and replied,
"There are a lot of things I'd like from you but right now I want to know why you're so deep in your work?"
I sighed and moved my chair backwards.
"I have less than two months to plan this mission and if the chances are that the bastard is still alive he's going to be much harder to kill, so I have to plan carefully, I can't miss a single detail."I said and pushed his face out of my mine.
I heard Damien sigh, but I knew he understood why I was working so hard.
He was the only one, who could.
"You're smart Daphne I'm sure one week is all you need really."he said and I watched him throw his head back.
His Adam's apple moved up and down and I watched all the while.
He brought his head back down and caught me staring.
I turned away quickly, not before catching the smug look on his face.
I cleared my throat and made to swivel away, but he held the arm of the swivel chair preventing me from moving.
"What was that about?"he asked moving towards me slowly.
I shifted anxiously in my chair as he placed his arm on the other arm of the chair rendering me no escape.
"What, was what about?"I asked retreating deeper into my chair.
Damien scoffed and trapped me between his legs.
He leaned in closer and closer and CLOSER!!
"Sir you need to back the fuck up, before I kill Damien Junior."I said with a serious look on my face.
"Sir huh is that what you're calling me now?"he asked with an even bigger smirk on his face.
"I'm sorry you kinky motherfucker did you forget about my threat to deal damage to little you?"I asked crossing my arms.
He stared at me one last time and fell back rising his arms in surrender.
"Good I'm busy."I said and swiveled closer to my desk.
He was just about to leave when he said,
"Oh Daphne,"
"What?"I asked peeking over my computers.
"It's not little me, it's massive me, get it right ."
