Damien

Maybe it was because I was really annoyed by Ty interrupting my moment with Daphne, because I'd weaved through the ballroom with clenched fists.

"You're going to have to unclench that infront of Padrino." Ty adviced.

"I don't even know why you invited him in the first place."I fumed and moved aside for a waiter.

"I didn't! The dude's fucking ninja he just shows up, everywhere with or without an invite and I'd be out of my damn mind if I asked him to leave."Ty fumed equally.

"He asked me to find Aero as well, but I can't find that brat."

I chuckled and said,

"Just listen for a bunch of squealing girls and you'll find him right in the middle."

I said and pointed Aero out to Ty.

I pulled him out of the conversation and he was rather annoyed.

"Hey!"he protested.

"You think I'm going to allow you to have a convo with girls when I can't have one with my girl."

"What! Are you drunk! Yo!"he yelled and looked at Ty for help.

"Daddy wants to see his children."he shrugged.

Aero clucked , gave up and dusted off is suit.

There was this character trait I'd inherited from my father, where we both act all cold to the ones we're not close to but to the ones we're close to...

"Son! Happy birthday, spero che tu abbia ricevuto il mio regalo did you like it ?"my dad said when we were alone and away from prying eyes. ( I hope you got my present)

"Si, padre thank you for another island that's 22 so far." (Yes father)

"Sono felice che ti piaccia, your mother wasn't feeling too well so your sister wanted to stay home to look after her." (I'm glad you like it.)

"What's wrong with mom?"Aero asked.

"Just a slight fever, she asked me to give this to you Damien."my dad said and pulled out the key of a Porsche.

I smiled and took it gratefully.

"I guess mom knows me better."I smirked.

"What! You mean to say you don't like your island! Should I have bought you a car instead or maybe a yacht Il buy you a jet!"my dad rumbled on,stroking his chin.

Aero snorted and said,

"Leave it to dad to be excessive."

My dad's face drooped and I smiled.

"Thank you for the island dad, really you're saving me a lifetime of birthday presents for my kids."

"Your kids?"my dad laughed.

"Yes dad this idiot thinks just because he's in love now the poor girl will carry his kids."Aero said.

"In love! What's her name?"my dad asked rather interested.

"We'll talk about that another time dad,"I started glaring at Aero "Mom's probably waiting for you."I said.

He nodded and smiled at both Aero and I.

Aero held his arms around his neck and my father smiled and patted his shoulders.

I joined in because I wasn't about to hand over my favourite child title to Aero.

"Vieni presto a trovarci, tua madre non vorrebbe più nulla."(come visit us soon your mother would love nothing more)

" Va bene." Aero and I both responded and we pulled away.

"Oh yeah, we haven't taken care of him yet."my father said and we both smirked.

We looked up at the assailant, who's eyes widened, when my father raised his cane and a bullet fired from it.

"Was wondering when he'd shoot honestly."Aero yawned.

His body fell to the ground with a splat and we walked back into the ballroom.

Ty stood outside waiting and when he saw us he bowed slightly to my father who now had a straight look on his face.

Father walked off with his men following behind him.

"Ty we have a little mess out there you need to take care off." I said and watched Aero try to sneak off.

Ty caught him by his collar and asked,

"How messy?"

"Blood messy."Aero sighed as Ty dragged him out with him.

I shook my head and tried to spot Daphne amongst the countless millionaires and waiters.

She wasn't that hard to find.

Her new seductive black hair might have thrown me off a bit but I knew that flawless glass skin.

I walked closer and saw her with a glass in one hand having a chat with Oliver Ricci.

In all honesty I didn't have any problems with him, he was a man who
worked hard to be successful.

But he was also the man who was going to die tonight for staring below chin level.
