Keith didn't have much of a childhood after his father had died, it's one of the first things that Shiro learnt over his brother. It wasn't hard to figure out during those early days, it was clear to see if you actual paid attention to Keith. 

Not just deal with bad temper or judge him for when he broke the rules. 

If just took a minute to look at him, see the lost, scared and hurt boy hiding behind the tough and anger issues teen, you'd know. 

It's why Shiro decided he was going to give Keith as many happy memories as possible while he took him under his wing. Keith became his brother, his family. Shiro was going to give him a better childhood than the foster care did. 

It started out with the small things. Asking over his likes, his dreams and watching his reaction to any advertisement posters. Taking him on days out or the mere hour of invite him to his and Adam's dorm to have a meal, like a real family. 

Teaching him to rise a hover bike, speeches over safety and teaching him things parents needed to teach their children. Adam helped. He didn't get as involved as Shiro did but he was a good guardian figure that cared for Keith. 

Adam was the stricter parent but the moments he did something for Keith were more special, more memorable for him. It was rare, a true treat given or done with Keith in mind. It made Keith feel seen, felt important. 

It started with Easter. Learning Keith had never really believed in the easter bunny, not even with his father. His father always worked holidays, left Keith having sleep over at the stations every holiday instead of having family to spend and celebrate the holiday with. 

It left Adam making a comment over the Garrison having an easter funding day. How easter themed games or competitions were done for soldiers and civilians to join in and enjoy. Prizes won, money raised and a good day out for all who to attend. 

One of the competitions were the eater egg hunt. Every game or competition had a small fee needed to be paid to play or join. Something Shiro didn't mind paying as he wrote both his and Keith's name down for the egg hunt. 

It was a playful competition. Collecting the six eggs of your colour before anyone else. It was done inside one of the small building hangars that were mostly emptied out for the hunt to be played in. The easter egg hunt ran all down, each competition lasting thirty minutes before the eggs are re-hidden with new mini chocolate eggs tucked inside the colourful plastic eggs. New games being played every forty minutes, leaving all the names written down on the list to gain a chance to play. 

Adam had volunteer to help out that day before Shiro even thought over putting his and Keith's name down for the eater hunt. So, it shouldn't have been a surprise to Shiro nor Keith when they opened up their collected colour eggs and found their favourite sweets or chocolates in five of the six eggs and than a mini ester  egg in the final one like everyone else eggs had.  

Afterwards came Halloween where everyone dressed up and Shiro decided to drag his brother out towards the city. Adam staying behind since Shiro was taking the two of them on his hover bike.
