All five lions had suddenly became rather stubborn over the past couple of weeks.
All the paladins were getting dangerous close to sending their lions to the junk hard and fight Zarkon hand to hand instead.
None of them truly understood what had gotten into their lions but something clearly had.
At first it was just the Red Lion.
Nothing strange over the Red Lion being grumpy, just look at her chosen paladin.
But then the Blue Lion started to break more sharply whenever her paladin got ready to shoot up an galran cruise.
And while most could understand wanting to send Lance's face slamming into a window, Blue normally cared very much about keeping clean and looking her best.
Green Lion ended up following next and would fully refuse Pidge into her work space. The Lion normally adored her paladin fiddling with tech and creating new upgrades around her.
But now, the particle shield was always kept up whenever they weren't in the middle of battle.
The Black Lion started to act up not longer after Green. She refused to even leave the castle at some point and only allowed her paladin to enter when the rest were close to being dangerous hurt and even defeated.
Shiro had tried to bond with his lion afterwards but she had locked him out of the bond completely.
It left all the other paladin's placing their faith into Hunk as the Yellow Lion was the only one not to rebel just yet. Hunk treated his lion as kindly as she treated him and tried to ask over the problems the others were having.
Promising to merely sit down and talk over what might be troubling his lion and any of the others. Prepared to stand as the middle man and help everyone find peace and truce once more.
It worked until Hunk had learnt over what had been troubling the lions enough to refuse to fight anymore.
Christmas had reached earth.
None of them knew how to tract time or the passing days on their home planet while being mixed up with the universal war. But with using the bond, the lions had been able to keep track and understanding the important of the holiday to them all.
Even if they all held their own traditions or reasons for loving the holiday.
The Lions had peeked into an old history lesson that came to mind to Keith. Having seen the memory show soldiers stopping their fighting on Christmas morning and playing a game of football as friends not enemies.
The lions had decided among themselves that they'd keep to such a humanly example and follow suit.
Meaning the paladins were mostly grounded from their lions until Christmas morning had passed and a forced break to the war was given.
