Lance loved Christmas, always loved the festival season.

He loved the sights, the sounds and the smells.

Putting the tree up and leaving it to look like a toddler elf threw up over it.

He never liked fancy or neat looking trees, made it seem like the tree was on display and not decorated by a loving and happy family.

He loved his trees being mismatched and left as if it was a drawing by a child and not an actual decoration.

Having his sister strangle others with tinsel.

His brothers fighting over who was tallest and could put the start on top.

His other sister grabbing memorial and shiny baubles to slip on and bending the tops of the tree to keep them from slipping off.

His parents keeping a distance as they focused on placing the ceiling decorations up instead.

HIs nephew and niece would place down the Christmas themed mat around the trees basket.

He loved his mama's cooking.

Each and every Christmas treat was mouth watering.

The smell from the kitchen would have everyone setting up the table long before meal time, wanting the first, mouth burning bite.

Home baked or bought from the store, Christmas food was as good tasting as it was unhealthy half the time.

He loved how Christmas lights shined and blinked in so many colours.

He loved how a room could be light up with so many warm and bright colours.

A room lighten up by Christmas lights alone always seemed magical.

But his favourite part was walking down a street in the early afternoon and see the whole road light up by Christmas lights.

It made him feel as if he was already in heaven and living among the gods.

He loved listening to Christmas music play over all radios and people humming along to the old songs they grew up with.

He liked to sing along if he was at home alone or doing his own bit of shopping for the festival season.

Sometimes he's dance along and sometimes he was left smiling as he watched others unconsciously sing along or full on sing their hearts out with pride.

He's never seen a carol singing in person but he knows his heart squeezes at the thought of a bunch of people coming togehter to sing their joy of the season togehter.

But his favourite parts of the Christmas is being at home with all the sounds, sights and smells. To feel as if he's surrounded in a warmth and love and safety as he gets to enjoy all the spirts of Christmas.

Just like tonight.

He was home with his wife, a batch of Hunk's cookies still warm sitting in a lunchbox on his coffee table. His friend having paid a visit today and stressed cooked a lot of sweet treats

He's just a couple months away from being a first time father and apparently Balmeran's pregnancies and labour is very different to humans version.

Lance felt bad for his best friend but he was rather happy over him being stressed enough to use his family's kitchen and bake them so many yummy food.

Their Christmas tree was decorated with so many different types of decorations and none of their tinsel not matching anything else on the tree.

The star shaped, tree shaped and the long ceiling decorations all shining and reflecting the glow of the Christmas tree's lights, lighting up the whole room at once.

Familiar soundtrack of a film filling his ears and everything was perfect.

A Christmas movie was now starting to play as both he and his wife had settled down for the evening, both eaten and ready to relax before bed.

He placed down the two hot chocolate filled mugs down on the old and second hand coffee table that his wife had stolen from his brother in law when they first moved in to their apartment.

Being the perfect husband he is, he used their favourite mugs to drink from.

"Someone's chirpy" His wife, the most smartest and gorgeous person in the universe.

Katie Holt, aka Pidge. The ex Green Paladin and the love of his life and hopefully the next life too.

"I'm about to be snuggled by my wife. Who wouldn't be happy?" He goofily grinned back as he hopped down onto their sofa, reaching for the blankets left folded over the back.

"Sap" His wife teased back as she rolled her eyes fondly at him.

Soon enough his wife was wedged in a corner with one leg laid along the back of the sofa cousins and the other left over and her foot flat against the living room floor. Her arms wrapped around him as he laid across the sofa, head shoved in her stomach and his arms tightly wrapped around her waist.

Blankets thrown over his long tree like body, covering up to his neck to help keep his wife's lap covered. Acting her personal heater while she snuggled into her. Letting his back act as a second form of table for their hot chocolates.

Sweet treats smelling up his home, a famous Christmas film filling his ears and the glow of the Christmas lights leaving the room magical. He had his wife cuddles and hot chocolate.

Christmas truly was his favourite holiday.
