HOPE YOU HAVE A JOLLY READ
PLEASE BE AN ELF AND MAKE A VOTE

Winter had reached the city and as soon as November had came around stories filled with their Christmas stock. Christmas lovers were decorating early while others had at least waited until the start of December.
It was cold, enough for frost in the early mornings and overnight. But none would be seeing any snow for another month or two. They might have a couple minutes of snow falling but nothing that would set and stay until morning.
Showers of rain were still pouring down from the heavens and leaving a few rooftops more icy than wanted. Christmas lights and council decorations lit up streetlamps and stores.
And to share some of the Christmas, the handful of Heroes who celebrated the holidays changed out their outfits for a more subtle holly, jolly Christmas version.
Deadpool had been reported wearing an actual elf costume with a matching hat placed over his mask. His weapons been professionally painted to look like candy canes and presents patterned. His swords the candy canes, his grenades present painted and his guns held snowflakes over them.
Dare Devil had taken to wearing reindeer antlers on his head with bells. Still being able to quietly and sneakily creep up on his targets. He even started using Christmas lights to start tying up his lot of criminals.
Venom had been seen wearing a stretched Christmas Jumper and a red Santa hat with an bell sewn on the tip of the hat. Tying all different colours of ribbons around his criminals upper arm to leave as a present for the police.
For Spider-Chick, her costume was mostly the same but her webbing and spiders all held a twist of tinsel style to it and her main spider symbol now wore a Christmas hat and a few Christmas baubles hanging from its legs. She had a magnet green Santa hat with a white cotton ball sewn to the tip of the hat. Leaving the hat to safely clip off if it's pulled on and having no risk of her mask being yanked off with it.
More and more heroes had subtly changed their outfits or took to wearing Christmas hats and headbands this December. Wanting to bring some joy to the people they were protecting and share in the Christmas spirit even as they're fighting back crime.
But for one day of December, Spider-Chick was fed up with crime.
And she was making the villain that had decided to randomly attack know her frustration and disappointment over being called out when she was.
"I was Christmas shopping! I was at the till. IN LINE! I had waited a full hour to be the next person and YOU dragged me away. Do you know how hard it is for a hero to do their Christmas shopping? I had survived the store's craziness just to be forced away just before I could pay. Now I've got to do the shop all over again" Spider-Chick angrily ranted as she glared down at the villain who had quickly learnt to shut up and let her complain over her midday.
Civilians were hurrying past now the danger was done and most wasn't paying attention to the hero's rant over her failed Christmas shopping she's wasted all morning trying to do. Just to have to redo it all over again because of the jerk tied up before her.
