Better late than never

Techno apologized.

The great Technoblade Craft apologized.

Who would've thought he'd see the day Technoblade apologized? because he never apologizes. He doesn't use his emotions to do so.

And here Tommy was, in his room, staring at Techno's beloved jewelry box and supposedly getting ready for school. The day after the apology

Tommy didn't forgive him, and he can't. The man did a lot for him to just forgive him easily.

He will someday, just not today.

He snapped himself out of his thoughts, letting them linger for another day, and focused on the box at hand. He'll complete his outfit, and Prince Death will crush MCC.

He wants to show the world that he is truly the son of Lady Death. The one who proves his legacy and spites those who harmed him in the past

As much as he tried to think of anything but the events of yesterday. Tommy was still surprised by the apology.

It was late, so fucking late. Tommy dreamed of that moment for so long, but it was better late than never, innit? He apologized, and that's that.

Except he wanted to get closer to Techno again.

Why can't he just let him be?

Techno said sorry; his aching heart and drowning mind slowly healed, and he wants more.

He wants to call Techno his brother, like he calls his creation of stories his own.

Shut up, not now.

He was supposed to be on the way to school. Not the time to dwell on the events of the day before.

He changed it up today, wearing a mixed green and brown sweater and a pair of random pants he found. He didn't want to look too formal every time he went to school; he just felt like it. There's nothing to say about that (He has too many different styles of outfits to count).

He should focus on MCC. The event was close to arriving, and he needed to prepare. To get into the right mindset. Ignore distractions.

He had to win.

But the apology still lingered in his mind.

Fuck! Why can't he just accept that Techno apologized to him? He had already given his answer; he was sure of it. And he ended that conversation yesterday.

Techno was so fucking late, but it was so fulfilling in Tommy's soul that he knew what he did wrong.

Tommy waited so long that the ship he once sailed in with joy and laughter broke under the ravenous waves of the ocean. And Techno's apology, his stupidly late apology, served as a lifeboat that came in time to help his drowning heart.

In a flash, school came and went, he met up with the circle (and told Dream what happened), and then he was once again on the way home.

His energetic 'Tommyinnit' fades, and now all he wants to do is slip past the front door and away from Wilbur. He never listens when I tell him to stop bothering him.

He never listens to anything at all.

He slips back into his room, thankfully with no Wilbur in sight. Chat comes through the window and onto his bed while he reads his mother's diary and her experience with MCC.

His mind wanders back to the apology Techno tells him, to the moment he found out that Techno cared again (Does he really?) and maybe he'll be able to call Techno his brother again.

Yeah, Better late than never.

Techno apologized.

But will Wilbur or Phil do so too?

Will they even learn to apologize?
