A/N: This is when I stray off from the episodes for a little while. I still will bring some mentions back but it is mostly my dialogue and my storyline.

Who I am, Who I'm not and Who I wanna be"

A few months later and we are all settled into our new homes in the great state of Texas. Not exactly California but it will work. After a fight with my dad, we decided it would be best if I lived alone, mostly because I couldn't risk Tk getting ahold of my pills again, but also because I was grown.

I have a great family at the 126, it wasn't exactly the easiest to get all together, but Judd came along eventually.

Marjan is like the big sister I've always wanted and she is willing to do anything with me.

Paul and I think we are two of the funniest people on earth. And it's probably not good that we feed into each-others ego.

I feel for Probie, we've all been in our
probationary eras before. Well except Tk, I guess when we joined together there could only be one probie, and they weren't gonna choose the man, to be it.

Judd had got to be my favorite though. We started rough, especially because he wasn't the biggest fan of my brother, but once I met Grace, I was all in. Grace and I are two people you don't want to get drunk with. We're a little too outgoing.

And Finally, Carlos. Tk doesn't know that I know, well, we know. The whole station knows. I've talked to Carlos multiple times, and I like him. He's got this sassiness that might settle Tk down for a while.

We're sitting at the table enjoying some of dads Whatever-you-call-it gluten crap when Dad starts to have a coughing attack.

"I thought you got that looked at in New York. How come you are still having it." I stand up to go and stand by my dad to check him out but the bell goes off right in time for me to get to him.

"Saved by the bell" I yell out to my dad, as I jog over to my locker.

Michelle is checking the patient as we arrive on the scene, and we move in closer to hear her orders. "Her seatbelt is cutting into her skin, and possible concussion and neck injury. I need this door opened and a C-collar on her immediately. Seatbelt doesn't look too deep so it shouldn't be a problem to remove." She turns around to talk to her paramedic team and Capt. Strand turns around to talk to us.

"Tk, Marjan get Saws and Jaws and work on opening that door. Paul and Judd push some of these people back, and Probie and Raya check if they're any gas leaks or punctured areas in and around the cars."

Acknowledgments were made and everyone went off to their duties. I walked around the cars a few times and so did the Probie.

"Dad the sights are clear, nothing leaking or sticking out," I told my dad and went to go stand by him. I watch as my brother talked to the young girl in the car. He had such a kindness to his voice, that you don't see a lot of firefighters having. I smiled at my brother and watched as they removed the girl from the Honda.

"1,2,3" They transported her onto the basket and lifted her and walked her to the gurney. My dad and I walked over to join my brother and Marjan with Michelle.

"She will make it just fine, a few weeks of physical therapy, and she will be good as new." She climbed up the back of the ambulance and turned around and looked at us. "Thank you, firefighters, couldn't have done it without you."

A few 'Happy to help' and 'You're welcome' were muttered from beyond the crowd and we all turned around to pack everything up.

On the way back to the firehouse I sat next to Tk. We have always sat next to each other on fire and rescue calls, or just riding in seats in a car. One time when we were younger I asked him why he always insisted on sitting on my right and be replied "Well since you are flipped, I can feel your heartbeat better when I lay my head on your right shoulder."

I think back to all of the things we have both been through, and I think back to when were both at our lowest. I find myself staring at Tk. He looked good, and he looked happy. For once in his life he doesn't have someone to worry about, that's not himself.

I nudged him with my shoulder and he looked up at me. "Hey, you did well today, you did well with that girl. I am proud of you Teek." The other firefighters on the truck agreed with me and supported Tk. Tk nodded his thank you to everyone, and then laid his head on my shoulder. It made me happy to see us being a family again. Even though mom is halfway across the country I know she would be proud of us, especially Tk.

"Well, I am proud of you too Ray. all of y'all," Tk said as his cheeks flushed a light shade of red.

Paul spits out a chuckle, along with Judd and Dad.

"What's so funny? Why are you laughing?"

Dad turned around to look at Tk and me.

"Because kid, you just said 'y'all."
