"All this time I didn't know you
were breaking down."──────⊱⁜⊰──────
"Dispatch, tell medical we have civilians on scene and prep for minor injuries." My dad spoke over the radio.
Grace replied, "EMS is en route."
We all hopped out of the engine and lined up to see the fire that was engulfing the barn.
"Holy shit" I mumbled under my breath. Something shot up from the barn and was making a beeline straight for us.
"Get back, back!"
"Fall back!"
"Fall back!"
Judd just stood there in a state of awe. He stared up at the burning building and the cans shooting out of them, like it was the 4th of July, and we were watching fireworks.
"Judd!" I yelled out as I reach out to pull him against the truck
"Whoa, whoa, Judd." my dad stepped in and shielded Judd from the oncoming explosions.
I grabbed Judd's arm and put my hand on his shoulder. "Juddy, you alright?" I asked as he tucked his head to his chest and started taking a few deep breaths. I've seen this look of absolute panic that was painted across Judd's face before except it was my dad's face. My dad had terrible PTSD after 9/11 that went untreated. It is truly a terrible thing to see someone go through and can ruin a family in seconds.
"Dispatch, we have explosions and steel cans raining down on us." My dad yelled to Grace over the radio.
More and more of those steel cans started shooting out at us. "What the hell are those?" I screamed over the fire and explosions as one landed about 10 feet away from Judd and me.
"Bull stuff" Judd laughed out as he went to fix his hat. I gave him a funny look and grabbed the hose from the engine.
"Yeah, they freeze the deposits in liquid nitrogen. With all the heat, the gas
inside must be expanding. So...""Hot loads of bull stuff." My dad finished off Judd's sentence. I made a fake gagging sound and started dragging the hose over to Mateo.
"Oh, hey, welcome to Texas!" Judd laughed as I turned around and flicked him off.

We all grouped in a circle to hear our orders. "All right. We got somebody trapped in there. TK, Marjan, and Paul get on those lines now! Mateo, you're their spotter."Tk, Marjan, Paul, and Mateo dispersed to their duties.
"Hey, You good to go?" My dad asked Judd and me but was mainly talking to Judd.
"Hell yeah, I'm good to go." Judd continued laughing at the scene that was playing out in front of us.
"Juddy, what the hell are you laughing at?"
"I'm just trying to picture my obituary."

The static of the radio cut in revealing
Gracie's voice. "Captain, be advised. I'm told the man you're looking for likely started the fire."You have any idea where we should be looking?" I spoke over the radio to Grace
"Last seen in the storage room, rear of the facility, southwest side."
"What did all these bulls do to deserve this? This is bull crap." My pun didn't receive as many laughs as I expected,
it actually gained none.
