"How do we get out here now?", Rudi asked as he tied Valeria's hands behind her back.

You had made sure to silence her with a towel stuffed into her mouth and a blade at her throat.

Frowning, you did a gesture to tell him to take over and rushed to the back of the room to throw a glance out of the window that faced the edge of the plateau that reached over the edge of the cliff.

To be safe you threw a glance left and right before whistling a quick signal.

Below the window, in a bush that grew so high that a man could have hidden inside, somebody moved.

Tense, you whistled again.

"Keep it down, will ya?", Soap suddenly appeared from the shadows. "Or are you trying to attract birds?"

With a grin, you grabbed Valeria and pushed her towards the fire escape ladder. She struggled, but knew that there was no chance without ending up with a blade stuck in her neck.

"How's it looking, amigo?", you asked before you let Rudi go first.

Soap glanced around the corner.

"Everything clear.", he confirmed with bated breath. "We just gotta make it down the edge. Alejandro is waiting with a unit."

"Any sign that people are getting frisky?", Rodolfo asked as he sat foot on the ground again.

"Negative. We were slick."

"Don't jinx it, Sergeant.", you looked back at the door. "Narcos have a sixth sense for trouble."

You forced Valeria to get going. She tried to wiggle her way out of it, threatened to throw herself off the ladder. But you kept her tight by the collar and managed to push her deep enough for Soap and Rudi to catch her in the air.

"What a beast.", the Scot hummed, almost a shimmer of respect in his eyes.

"Don't fall in love.", you said with a huff and pushed for everyone to move up. "She bites."

His smirk broadened.

"Music to my ears."

Rudy frowned.

"I could have finished this mission without knowing what you're into.", he growled and set himself at the top of the group.

It was visible that he wanted to get out as fast as possible even if it meant he had to jump off a cliff for that.

Hastily, you stood guard until everyone had made it to the edge. Your attention was fixed on the corner of the house where light mixed with the shadows of the night.

Party music filled the silence, mixed with people chatting and laughter. It was the kind of night that you knew from old times when the old Sin Nombre had celebrated his success, to reward loyalty.

Silhouettes moved across the stone tiles of the plateau. Somewhere someone jumped into a pool. If you wouldn't have known this place was a fortress for narcos you could have been fooled into thinking it was a simple house party.

However every single one of the attendants was armed for war. And they most certainly wouldn't take prisoners.

Behind you, something rustled. Your head snapped around only for you to sigh with relief as you spotted Rudi who was about to climb down the edge.

Every single sound made your nerves flinch. Immediately, you turned back to check if somebody had approached in your moment of carelessness.

Some shadows moved at the edge of light. It wasn't like they had appeared out of nowhere, after all, there was still a party going on.

However, it seemed to you as if they had come closer. Or maybe you were just imagining things.

Either way, your grip around your weapon tightened.

"Calm yourself, Sin Rosto.", you hissed and have your cheek a slap to sharpen your mind. "This isn't you."

A soft chuckle drew your attention once more to the edge of the plateau. Right at Valeria.

She was still tied up, her lips sealed to keep the siren from singing. But that did not keep her from looking so mockingly at you, so judgemental. She wasn't able to speak and yet you could tell every word she wanted to say.

She thought of you as pathetic.

And perhaps you were. In that moment all your confident to pull this thing off was gone. The cocky narco that you once were was so far away it felt like a fever dream of a memory.

In that moment you weren't a faceless name, whispered with fear. You were just somebody's spouse. Just some person who had picked up some kids from the streets.

You were no one. But you desperately needed to be someone. Even if it meant to be Sin Rosto once more.

Somewhere something fell to the ground.

Steps sounded. People moved.

"We're moving out.", Soap hushed from behind.

Shadows approached. Then they vanished again.

You took another step back. With bated breath you threw one more glance over your shoulder. Your legs moved back, quick, while your hand reached down in an attempt to grab the escape rope.

And in that glimpse of a second two armed guards rounded the corner.

"Shit!", it slipped off your lips.

"Are you coming?!", Soap shouted up.

He was already with both feet on the ground again, Valeria in his custody. Rudy and Alejandro were there too, waiting at the hidden vehicle.

Your gaze met the one of your husband. He could tell that something was off. Something wasn't right.

His lips moved, wrinkles appeared on his forehead. A silent request escaped him, he shook his head slightly.

It wasn't more but a plea for you to not loose yourself in the illusion that you could solve this situation by going back to the person you once were.

This was serious.

You had things to loose. He had you to loose.

There wasn't more time to think, no moment to calm your nerves and make a decision. It was either now or never. The guards had already spotted you, yelled threats and commands.

In that split second that was left to choose you did what your intrusive thoughts told you to.

You jumped.
