AFTER THE WHOLE ED and Carol incident, Juliette was completely on edge. She sat up against Dale's camper, protectively wrapping her arms around herself. She could see the red mark, a handprint more specifically, bruising on her arm from Ed trying to grab her.

Amy and Andrea were out fishing. Jules played on going with them, but they shot her down and said she needed the rest. Jules bit her tongue, wanting to deny it. She was completely fine, and she wasn't the only one shocked from the experience.

She could admit it sure wasn't her brightest moment when she had decided to punch Ed. She reached that conclusion when Shane gave her a hard look as she walked past him to get back to the camp.

She tried not to think about it. Especially because Carol might be mad at her. No matter how he treats her, that is her husband. Well, in her eyes he is.

Jules's eyes turned towards Dale, who had his eyes in a pair of binoculars. She couldn't see what he was staring at, so she only prayed it wasn't a walker. His gaze hardened as he began to walk off.

Curiosity taking over her, she stood up and followed him. Not before patting the belt on her hip and checking that her prized knife was still there.

Dale turned around, noticing Jules not far behind him. "Aren't you supposed to be resting?" he asked suspiciously through narrowed eyes.

Jules shrugged her shoulders with a shake of her head, tired of people treating her like a porcelain doll. Nothing happened, and she was fine. Why couldn't they see that? Did they view her as a helpless kid like Shane did? "I'm fine."

Dale didn't say anything more aside from a sigh, and then soon stopped in front of Jim. Jules's eyebrows furrowed, seeing Jim digging large holes feverishly.

"Jim? You okay?" Dale inquired, keeping a safe distance alongside Jules. Jim didn't reply. He didn't even look up at them. His grip tightened on the shovel, continuing digging holes. Jules swallowed nervously at the odd behavior, sweat dripping from her forehead. "You keep this up, you're going to keel over out here. Drink some water at least."

Jim still didn't reply, only pausing for half a second and meeting their gaze. Dale gave Jules a look, before turning around and walking away from the man. Jules frowned, wondering if the heat was getting to him.

Jules and Dale made their way back to the camp, seeing Amy and Andrea back with a boat load of fish. Jules was astonished at the amount, proud of the two girls.
