A NEW DAY WAS breaking by the time the rest of their group got back to their vehicles. The sun was about to rise, the sky filling with colors in anticipation. Juliette was eager to get up from her spot on the uncomfortable road, boosting herself up and jogging to the entrance of the woods to meet up with Maggie. Her pace began slowing when she noticed a singular person in the mist. She turned back, not seeing Michonne, Scout, or Glenn.

The hip in her step was gone as she whirled every which way. She thought better than to shout for anyone. Taking out her bow, she continued to back away until she was in the middle of the road, watching the figure's every move. Juliette stood tall despite the fear in her body. Over the months she became better at concealing her emotions, mostly fear.

Stalking towards her, the figure ended at the edge of the road. Jules squinted, trying to make out their facial features. Her breath caught in her throat when the mist faded and revealed Shane. Before she could do anything, he held up a shotgun, aiming it right at her.

"No! Stop!" Jules screamed, her voice echoing in the distance. Her bow clattered to the asphalt as she threw up her hands in protest. "Please!" He cocked the gun, a look of hatred on his face as he pulled the trigger.

"No!" Jules sobbed, someone shaking her shoulders harshly. Her eyelids fluttered as her eyes caught a panicked Glenn's who was still sat on the floor. Turning her head ever so slightly, she caught the looks of Michonne and Scout. Michonne looked almost indifferent, while Scout looked off to the side awkwardly.

"You good?" she heard Glenn's hoarse voice in her ear. She was back to sitting on the road. Frowning, she realized she must have fell asleep and had a nightmare.

Wiping a few stray tears from her cheeks, she nodded. "Fine." When she got nightmares, they were never that bad. She never woke up screaming. Sometimes she'd wake up crying, but those were always silent tears.

Glenn moved away from her after a few seconds, going back to staring at their little prison duo. They stayed like that until the rest of their group actually did return. For the second time that day, (technically the first), she stopped walking when her eyes met with the new addition—Merle Dixon.

When Glenn moved past the dumbfounded girl who was stamped in one place, he told her to stay back. "What the hell is he doing here?!" Glenn seethed, aiming his gun at Daryl's brother. Michonne and Scout were quick to follow Glenn, pulling out their weapons, having the same goal in mind as Glenn. Jules stood at a distance, unbelieving.
