chapter eleven. i feel fine﹙season two, episode one﹚
what lies ahead
HER FINGERS TAPPED RHYTHMICALLY against the dining table, staring at random things in the room. It was silent, excluding the noise of insects and bugs outside. The room was almost pitch black, the moon and stars being the only source of light this late at night. The front door clicked open and creaked loudly, directing the girl's attention away from the kitchen. "Juliette?" a voice questioned, one belonging to none other than her mother.
"You're back. What took you so long?"
Her mother sighed, turning on a small lamp in the room parallel, viewing her daughter's face who hadn't moved from her spot. "That's not important. What are you doing up so late? You have school in the morning."
"I know. I'm sorry. I just wanted to make sure you came home okay."

IT WASN'T UNTIL THE aftermath of the explosion that Juliette found out about Jacqui's death. She chose her fate and decided to stay in the C.D.C.. Jules just wished she would've been there to talk her out of it, or figure out why she wanted to stay, but Jules was ready to get out of there.
She heard from Dale that Andrea tried to stay, too, but he managed to convince her not to. Now, Andrea was riding in the camper with her and Shane.
Sitting with crossed arms as she listened to Andrea and Shane make lighthearted conversation in the front, she stared out the window. Jules was in the back with T-Dog, who was doing the same.
The R.V. shuddered to a stop, Jules's eyebrows furrowing in confusion. Simultaneously, T-Dog and the Graves daughter stood up to figure out what was going on.
The crackle of Daryl's bike came up the left of them, her eyes and ears catching that first. He was driving towards them.
"See a way through?" Dale shouted from inside of the R.V., Jules looking up to see what the fuss was about. She groaned in annoyance as she gazed at the interstate, filled with cars. From their spot, they couldn't easily drive through it without making a detour.
Nonetheless, Daryl nodded his head backwards, gesturing for them to continue driving. "Uh, maybe we should just go back," Glenn suggested uneasily, eyes flickering between the map and Dale. "There's an interstate bypass."
