BY THE TIME THEY had caught up with Glenn, whose pace had slowed, and after Scout and Jules shared a stale candy bar he had found when he was with Michonne, they came across a large structure right next to the train tracks. Glenn continued walking, while the rest of the group stilled.

"Hold up!" Abraham called out to Glenn, everyone else moving to their new makeshift shelter. The dark haired man turned to see what Abraham wanted. "We're stopping here. Tired is slow. Slow is dead."

Jules wasted no time plopping over on the concrete, resting her head against the wall. Sure, she should be in greater condition physically with all of the walking and running she's done since the End, but malnutrition and lack of hydration was catching up to her. Not that she was in great health Before, either. She couldn't exactly spare the money or time for extracurriculars.

"It's barely noon," Glenn countered with a huff, directing his gaze to the sky for further emphasis.

"I don't give a monkey's left nut," Abraham answered, his tone the same as his words. If Juliette wasn't so tired, maybe she would have laughed. Scout, however, snorted, earning an exhausted look from Tara. "None of us has slept more than a couple hours straight since we went all Casey Jones. This place looks safe. We need to rest."

Jules was sure they were much more tired than she had been. She, for some unexplainable reason, had felt safe in their care the night before, and was able to get at least three hours of uninterrupted sleep. Maybe it was the subtle smiles Rosita gave her, or Abraham's capabilities, or Glenn's familiarity. Jules had yet to confirm her feelings towards Tara and Eugene.

The amount of sleep she's gotten still wasn't ideal, but it was enough to keep her running. While her mind is mentally exhausted, she doesn't think her body is as physically exhausted.

She turned her head, gauging everyone else's condition. Tara looked like she hadn't slept at all, Rosita looked as though she could continue walking for the day, Abraham, who was carrying the most supplies, looked in need of rest, too. Eugene always looked like he was seconds away from shitting himself, so he didn't look out of the ordinary. Glenn was definitely in need of rest, but given his determination, she was sure he'd continue walking until his feet gave out.

She looked at Scout last. Oddly enough, despite knowing him the best out of everyone (maybe excluding Michonne), she always failed to understand how he was feeling. His facial expressions seemed to convey the exact opposite of what he actually felt. (The only exception being when he's in a near death experience, because even he can't keep a poker face on during that). For example, right now, he looks collected and almost . . happy? Which, surely, he can't be either of those things.
