"did you know your best friend is a bloody hero?" olivia rolled her eyes as caleb walked into the room. his phone held in front of his face as he talked to oscar.

"it's not that big a deal."

"you saved a guy's life today. its a huge fucking deal." caleb plopped down onto the bed next to liv, pushing his phone to her. oscar's brow raised at the information.

"i saw a guy wipe out really bad so i called for the lifeguards and pulled him onto my board until they got there." she explained.

"the guy was unconscious and the lifeguards said he could have died!" olivia punched caleb's arm and he stuck his tongue out at her like a child.

"well, you've always been my hero since the day we first met." oscar complimented and olivia bit her lip at the thought of being oscar's hero.

"anyway, how's bahrain?"

"hot." olivia smiled. she took caleb's phone as she lay back in her bed. caleb took it as his sign to leave the two best friend's alone to talk.

"bring me my phone when you're done?" olivia nodded as he left her room.

"have you met the team yet?"

"some people. we have a team dinner tonight so i'll properly meet everyone there." olivia could tell the aussie was a little nervous by his expression.

"hey, don't worry too much. dinner will be great!" oscar smiled thankfully, "now show me what you're planning on wearing."

oscar leaned his phone against the lamp on his bedside table, "i was thinking this? simple but not too casual."

"that's actually really good. since when have you had good fashion taste?" he held up navy blue jeans and a white button down.

oscar had always needed olivia's help in picking out outfits to wear, so the brunette was genuinely impressed with his choice for the night.

oscar chuckled, "i learned from the best."

the pair chatted a little while longer before oscar had to leave to start getting ready for dinner. "i miss you, piastri."

"i miss you too, livvy. good night."

"night." olivia sighed as the call ended. she lifted herself off her bed to go return caleb's phone before coming straight back to her room and falling asleep after the stressful day she had had.

olivia loved the ocean, no matter what she always found herself gravitating towards the beach. it was her happy place. the sand between her toes, the sun basking down on her golden skin, the sound of the waves crashing onto the shore.

"excuse me?" her brown eyes drifted from the water to the person who had appeared beside her.

olivia's eyes widened and she stumbled onto her feet when she recognised the boy. his blonde hair lay as a mess on his head, he smiled at the girl allowing her to see his sharp canines sticking through.

"you're here and you're okay?" she blurted out.

"and you're here too." aiden flashed her another smile. "i, honestly, didn't think i'd see you again."

"what're you doing here?" the brunette was shocked to see the boy she had rescued only the day before back at the beach like nothing had happened.

"i just got discharged from the hospital and realised that my bag was left on the beach when i was taken to the ambulance. what are you doing here?"
