montreal, canadaolivia walked into the paddock alongside her two friends: caleb and delara. the trio had grabbed some tim horton donuts that morning for breakfast and caleb had managed to sneak in an extra donut to deliver to oscar after the race.
olivia tried to control her smile when she saw oscar at mclaren hospitality. the pair had been secretly dating for a few weeks now. it had been fairly easy for them to keep their new relationship on the down low with fans, but much harder from their friends.
caleb greeted the aussie driver, whispering to him about the extra donut in delara's bag, making him chuckle. delara and caleb then made themselves comfortable in a lounge in the corner of the hospitality tent.
"how are you feeling ozzie?" liv asked.
"pretty good. it's nice to have them," he pointed over to their friends, "here to support me."
"is my constant support not enough for you?" the brunette faked a gasp. oscar smiled and wrapped an arm around her.
"your support means more to me then anyone else's." olivia could feel the butterflies engulf her. she looked over at delara and caleb, then back at oscar.
"what's wrong?" oscar asked, noticing the shift in her expression.
"i think we should tell them." she spoke, "they're our best friends, they should know about us. i want them to know."
oscar smiled and pulled the brunette into a bear hug, "if you want them to know then we'll tell them. tonight after the race."
olivia smiled but a question gnawed at her, "do you want them to know?"
"i want the whole world to know."
p11. oscar had lost two places from where he qualified but that didn't change how proud olivia was of him.
oscar did have much time to greet his friends after the race, being whisked away to the media pen. meanwhile, the trio hung out at the mclaren hospitality tent ordering dinner from the exclusive menu.
"hey guys," charlotte beamed reaching their table, "oscar's done with media and in his driver room if you want to see him."
"thank you char." olivia nodded at the older woman as the best friends tucked in their chairs and followed behind her.
"lara do you have oscar's donut?" caleb asked as they turned into a hallway, delara's eyes widened. "shit! i forgot my bag."
delara ran back through the garage, "i should probably make sure she doesn't get lost and that oscar's donut is safe." caleb speaks, following after the girl. "we'll see you at the driver room."
olivia chuckled and shrugged, making her way to where oscar was. a light knock on the door was all it took for oscar to call her in.
"hi handsome." oscar smiled immediately, "you were amazing today."
"amazing...? i was one position away from top 10."
"exactly! you were almost in the points and outperformed lando. in the shit box of a car you're driving that's an amazing result."
oscar laughed, "shh, don't be so loud someone might hear you." he pulled her arms over his shoulders and around his neck.
"good. they might give you a better car then." oscar shook his head, leaning down. olivia shut her eyes letting the warmth of oscar's lips engulf her. their lips moved in sync like pieces of a puzzle.
