monte-carlo, monacoolivia pulled oscar by his arm into a small street branching off from the main road. the duo had had an early start to their day; having breakfast at the hotel before heading to the prince of monaco's private car collection—which included some of charles' f1 cars.
since it was the week of the grand prix fans loomed around every corner of the small country. every few minutes oscar was being greeted by more and more f1 enthusiasts.
"this place is cute." olivia pointed to the small place tucked away into the alley.
"and quiet." oscar chuckled as olivia led them to a table for two outside the restaurant front.
"has oscar piastri had enough of his new found fame?"
the aussie's face contorted, "it's just overwhelming how many people know me and recognise me now. you know i've never been into being in the spot light."
"i know, but unfortunately it comes with being in f1. i think you would call it perks of the job." oscar let out a hearty laugh.
"true." he paused, "you on the other hand; you deserve to be in the spotlight."
"what do you mean?" olivia tilts her head as a waiter arrives to pass them menus and take their orders. oscar thanked the kind gentlemen as she left with their requests.
"you know, with your music. you've always been an amazing song writer—remember all those songs you wrote when we were younger?" oscar reached his hand across the table to brush the top of hers, "your dream of one day being a popstar. you deserve to make it big because you're really talented, livvy."
olivia blushed, butterflies erupting in her stomach, "i'm serious liv. you can see it with how 'don't let me down' blew up overnight. you're really good and i really think you should consider pursing music."
"wha— oscar i cant."
"why not?" olivia hesitated, in all honesty she wasn't sure why not. "seriously think about it, livvy. i believe in you, i know you can really do something with this."
oscar flashed her with big puppy dog eyes, olivia rolled her eyes, "okay... maybe."
"yes!" olivia giggled. "my best friend is gonna be a famous popstar!"
"don't get too excited, piastri. who knows, when i'm famous and have a-list friend i might not need you anymore."
"as if, alvarez. you love me to much to leave me." he winked and olivia sunk her teeth into her bottom lip.
"you're right. i do love you."
"watch out liv! you're gonna— hit the wall." lando let out a pitchy laugh.
"it's a good thing we turned damage off." oscar commented as olivia pulled herself out of lando's simulator seat.
"honestly i think i did pretty good. i only crashed after i finished the lap." olivia grinned. oscar rolled his eyes reaching his arm out to wrapped around olivia. her arms quickly snaked around his torso for support as she pulled her in.
"anyway, are you guys ready to go golfing?" the duo nodded as lando called max fewtrell to join them.
"you do realise i've never played golf before." olivia looked between lando and the bag of golf clubs.
"it's fine," lando waved her off, "it's fairly simple. oscar can teach you."
the trio reached the range, max waving them over to where he was already playing. lando and max immediately started a competition between themselves, leaving olivia to try and figure out how to play.
"okay... what exactly do i have to do?" she turned to oscar with a frown.
"it's easy. the aim of golf is to get this ball," the aussie held up the tiny white ball, "into a hole with the least amount of shots."
"so i just swing and hit the ball? that's easy." olivia raised the club in her hand just as oscar stopped her.
"whoa tiger, you can't just swing anywhere." he chuckled, "also how you swing his important. here let me show you."
oscar moved to stand behind the brunette, her eyes followed his every move. his hands kindly gripped her elbows pulling her back into her chest. olivia's eyes widened as her head snapped forward, her cheeks heating up for their close proximity.
oscar was gentle, his fingers grazing across olivia's arms—leaving goosebumps on her skin— reaching her hands. he held them tight around the golf club. one hand moved momentarily to her waist adjusting her stance.
olivia's face slowly turned, her eyes flicking up through her lashes to meet oscar's mere inches away from hers.
"is this okay?" olivia only nodded, she felt if she tried to speak nothing would come out. "alright. feet slightly apart, pull back and hit the ball."
air filled olivia's lungs when oscar pulled away, she hadn't realised she was even holding her breath. the brunette blinked, feeling slightly lightheaded.
"ready to give it a try?" oscar smiled at her. olivia managed a smile before nodding but as she positioned herself to hit the white ball she couldn't help but miss the feeling of oscar touching her.
