24th march 2023, evening melbourne, australia
"our take out is here." aiden called from the living room. olivia had been with the blonde since the afternoon after spending the morning with oscar and their friends.
olivia had met both of aiden's roommates who opened the door when she arrived at the apartment. aiden had to pull the brunette into his room as fast as possible to prevent his roommates from interrogating the poor girl.
aiden was the youngest of his friends so they all treated him like a little brother.
just like the blonde had said, they spent the afternoon cuddling in his bed while watching 'cars 2' olivia's favourite movie.
olivia looked up from her phone, oscar was texting her asking if she was coming home for dinner. she replied back before crawling off the king sized bed and heading into the shared apartment kitchen.
"your pad thai." aiden presented olivia with her box of food. olivia giggled at the horrible british accent he used.
"thank you, good sir."
they made their way to the living room plopping down onto the couch. aiden's friend, mason, emerged from his room smiling at the pair and taking a seat on the single seater in the room.
"olivia, right?" the brunette nodded as she took a bite of her food, "so, you're the girl who saved aiden while surfing."
"you could say that, i really just called for the lifeguards."
"still. you helped out a stranger."
"i wasn't just going to let him drown." mason nodded.
"you know, aiden talks about you nonstop." olivia turned to the blonde and smirked while he blushed. "all week it's been olivia this and olivia that."
"simp." mason let out a breathy laugh and aiden rolled his eyes playfully.
"he tells me you really like motorsport." the brunette nodded.
"my dad was always a huge formula 1 fan, so i've grown up watching it. plus my best friend's an f1 driver now."
"really?"
"yeah, oscar piastri. he's a rookie this year for mclaren."
"so does that mean you get to go to all the races?" olivia nodded once again.
"i'm taking aiden, here, for qualifying day next weekend." mason chuckled.
"you do know he knows nothing about formula 1." olivia laughed and aiden faked offence to his friend's comment.
"i know somethings..."
"don't worry, i promised i'd explain it to him before." the trio continued talking, aiden's other friend, tommy, also joining in a while later. when olivia checked her phone, it was nearing 11pm.
"shit... it's really late. i should get going."
"are you crazy?" aiden stopped the girl by holding her shoulders, "it's almost midnight, i'm not letting you go home now."
"but—"
"you can just stay over." olivia bit her bottom lip. the argentinian had had only two boyfriends in the past but she had never slept over at either of their places. she hesitantly nodded.
aiden gave her a warm smile before moving to his dresser and pulling out a shirt and sweatpants. "here. you can wear these to sleep."
olivia thanked him, changing the his bathroom out of her clothes and into his. when she re-entered the room, aiden was already laying in bed. he looked up from his phone and smirked, "you look good in my clothes."
olivia slowly approached his bed, pulling up the covers and scooting underneath. aiden frowned, he could tell something was wrong. the blonde reached out and tucked a strand of olivia's hair behind her ear. "what's wrong, via?"
the argentinian felt embarrassed, but she could see slight worry in aiden's eyes so she confessed, "i've never slept over at a boyfriend's place before."
aiden's eyes softened and he smiled, "if you're worried this means something will happen tonight, don't be. if you aren't ready for anything then nothing will happen. we can just cuddle some more?"
olivia let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. she was relieved that aiden respected her boundaries and didn't make her feel uncomfortable. the brunette leaned up, pressing her lips to his in a soft kiss, "i'd like that very much."
aiden scooted closer to his girlfriend, wrapping his arms around her waist and burying his head between her neck and her collarbone, planting a soft kiss there. olivia's fingers ran through his blonde curls as she got comfortable.
olivia quickly texted her friends that she was staying with aiden the night, before the pair drifted off to sleep.
SUNNY SPEAKS this chapter was more for shits and giggles than actual plot BUT next chapter will have some juice bc it's the alvarez x piastri family dinner 😁😁
also can we talk about cars 2 pls bc that movie is an underrated masterpiece 😌😤 like take spies, an international secret operation and cars and smash them together, add some banger music, a WORLD GRAND PRIX, owen wilson, pistachio ice cream and the queen of england as a car and that is CARS 2 ‼️
i'm willing to say it's the best movie from the trilogy okay 🤷♀️ ITS JUST SO GOOD!!
