7th july 2023, evening
london, england

it was qualifying day, olivia was up bright and early so she could mentally prepare herself for the walk into the paddock with oscar.

since the pair's instagram post officially announcing their relationship to the fans, the response had seemed to be better. twitter still had pockets of hate towards the couple but most people had come around on the pair being more than friends.

"good morning." oscar's morning voice brought a smile to liv's face. she turned to face the sleepy boy as he stretched in bed. "why are you all the way over there? get back here."

olivia giggled at his whining, "i thought i'd start getting ready a little early." she moved away from the vanity towards his side of the bed.

oscar groaned, taking liv's wrist and pulling her into bed. he wrapped his strong arms around her body making her laugh. oscar smiled at the sweet sound, his eyes partly open.

they stayed there for a few moments, olivia aimlessly fiddling with oscar's hand. olivia squirmed, deciding it was time to get up. oscar frowned and moaned.

"come on, we have to be at the track soon." olivia pressed her lips to oscar's cheek making his eyes flutter open. "good morning, sleepyhead."

oscar pulled her down to connect their lips, "good morning, beautiful."

olivia was officially ready to support her boyfriend for qualifying. she wore a flowery top with orange jeans and her op81 hat.

oscar was taking a quick shower so olivia decided to relax in bed while she waited. "that was quick." liv commented when the australian exited the bathroom with damp hair and a pair of jeans on.

"well you said it yourself, we have to be at the track soon." he replied, pulling out a team shirt from his suitcase.

"oh! some of the girls invited me to dinner tonight, just the wags." oscar smiled, happy that his girlfriend was getting along with the other drivers' girlfriends.

"that sounds like fun, though i'm hurt i'm not invited." he jokingly frowned. liv playfully rolled her eyes.

"girls only, babe." she patted oscar's back before laughing.

the sound of the hotel phone ringing caught their attention. olivia picked it up while oscar ran his fingers through his damp hair, fixing it for the day. "hello, is this miss alvarez?"

"yes, this is she." olivia quirked her brow at oscar as he sat down on the bed beside her.

"ma'am, there is a woman in the lobby asking for you. she says she's your mother." the partially smile on olivia's lips immediately dropped.

"what's wrong?" oscar nudged the girl. the resectionist on the phone also calling for olivia. the brunette felt like her throat was constricting, not being able to get any words out.

"via? baby, what's wrong." when his girlfriend didn't reply again, oscar pulled the phone out of her hand.

olivia's breath was shaky, hearing the muffled voice of oscar talking to the receptionist. she couldn't properly make out what he was saying but the australian looked angry.

"hey, baby, it's okay." oscar comforted the girl as soon as he ended the call, "she's gone. they are telling her to leave. you're alright."

olivia nodded, stretching her shaky hands out to her boyfriend. oscar took them in his tracing circles onto her hands. "i'm okay. i'm okay." she repeated to herself until she actually was.
