It seemed so strange after what I saw my best friend did to my Albany. I couldn't stand who Albany turned to. It was strange, after Gracie left to move to New York, everything was different. I never mind hanging out with people younger. I grabbed an apple from the fridge and biting into it. My dad patted me on my shoulder and I sat down across from him. "Dad" I said to my dad and dad looked up at me. "Why does people change" I asked my dad and dad just stared at me while raising an eyebrow. "What do you mean" dad just asked me and I sighed. "Albany wasn't always this way. I mean she was kind and caring and she didn't follow the crowd at all. What she did to Lilith was out of line" I ranted to my father and my dad just shrugged his shoulders. "People change in high school. People you never thought are the ones who usually do change" Dad patted me on the shoulder before walking up the stairs and I said good night to my dad. "Have I told you how proud of you I am" Dad asked me and I just nodded my head with a smile on my face. I saw my stepmom calling my dad to go to bed. "Goodnight Chris" my stepmom Cora told me while kissing my forehead. I said goodnight back at her. I decided I needed to improve on my game so I got in my car and was about to drive to the football field when Levi popped out of nowhere. "Levi what are you doing" I asked Levi and Levi shrugged his shoulders. "I have a problem" Levi confessed to me and I sighed and waved him inside of my car to talk. No matter how old I'll be Levi will always be my little brother whom I love to bits and pieces. "Okay what's going on" I asked Levi and Levi rubbed the back of his head. "I want to do baseball in the spring not track" Levi confessed to me once again. "What's the problem now" I raised an eyebrow because I had no idea what Levi was complaining about. "I don't know how to break it to dad and everyone" Levi looked down at the ground. "Just tell him, all dad and your mom wants you to be happy" I patted Levi and Levi smiled at me before hopping out of my car. "Thanks Chris, you're the best" Levi hugged me and rushed inside the house. I just shook my head. Levi was always the twin who definitely worried the most. I drove to the football field and I sat down on the bleachers and stared at the field. Soccer is my future but sometimes I think that I won't make it. I sighed and I heard heels and I turned and there stood Albany's friend, the one I actually didn't mind. "I hope you don't mind I'm here" Brooklyn told me and I shrugged my shoulders. She sat there and we both stared at the field in peace. "Hey want to play" I asked Brooklyn offering my hand and she smiled hugely at me. "I'm going to kick your but Mr. Styles" Brooklyn commented and I shook my head. "You wish" I responded while throwing the soccer ball up and down in the air. We were on the football field playing for what felt like eternity. "So Brooklyn how long have you been playing soccer for" I turned to face her while we both sat on the field. She shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know years since I was eight, mom wanted me to do cheerleading but I refused to" Brooklyn confessed to me. "Yeah soccer was always a part of my life but I mean my dad hated the sport" I smiled at Brooklyn. "Chris" Brooklyn said to me and we both looked each other in the eye. "I like you Chris still" Brooklyn confessed to me and my mouth dropped. "But you can't. You're the one who broke it off with me" I stood up from the field. "I know but I made a mistake and I still care about you" Brooklyn grabbed my hands and I looked at Brooklyn's face and I couldn't help it. I grabbed her face pulling her into a kiss and I could feel the smile popping up on her face. "So does this mean, you forgive me for being stupid" Brooklyn asked once we pulled away and I smiled at her while wrapping my arm around her shoulder. "I guess we need to keep this a secret huh" Brooklyn stated to me and I grabbed her hands. "Until the soccer season is over" I told Brooklyn and Brooklyn stared at me. "But then there's track season too" Brooklyn said to me and I sighed. "And you going to want to focus on trying to make it to the olympics" Brooklyn pointed out to me. That has always been my dream since I found out that my Uncle Liam almost got to go to the olympics with track. "I might not even make it" I pointed out to Brooklyn. "And you going to be busy training to get to go to the olympics for gymnastics" I stated to Brooklyn and Brooklyn just shrugged her shoulders. "I guess we have too big of dreams in our heads" Brooklyn nudged me and grabbed her bag. "I'll see you around Styles" Brooklyn called out to me and I smiled at her. "See you around Rig" I called Brooklyn her nickname. I got into my car. I was going to get into my dream college, I was going to go to the olympics and nothing was going to stop me. I thought as I drove home in my car. I parked the car in the driveway. In a way I was at peace for finally making a decision about my future. In that moment I didn't care about anyone but myself. I knew that I was going to make it no matter what happens.
