Ch.33: Making of Ruin

It had been two months since Uncle Zayn died and it seemed like everything was getting back to normal. I was happy about that at least that's what I was thinking about while I was in my room just chatting with my other teammates on the phone. They wanted to go out and have a pre-game before the game and I was just trying to think if I should go or not. I heard a huge knocking on my door and I turned around to see it was one of my teammates, George or as everyone calls him Geo. "Hey Geo, what you doing here" I asked him and Geo just smiled at me. "I'm here to take you to the party and your parents seem pretty cool with you going to so what do you say we go" Geo asked me and I just smiled while grabbing my baseball bag and we walked down the stairs to see Lilith and Susan were talking and laughing. "I'm off" I told my parents and my dad hugged me and my mom kissed my cheek. "Have fun Levi" Mom rubbed my head messing up my hair and I rolled my eyes at her and fixed my hair quickly. I hopped into Geo's car which was a BMW convertible. I turned on the radio and Geo was tapping on the steering wheel. "Why do i even have to go" I asked Geo and Geo rolled his eyes. "You are a part of the team which means you should want to hang out with the team. We here by the way" Geo parked in the driveway and I looked at the house and I walked through the house to see that numerous people packed the house and i looked around the place everybody was drinking and Geo handed me a drink and I shook my head no at him. "Come on Levi don't be a wimp" Geo called me out and I rolled my eyes. I wasn't going to drink and that would be it and I found myself outside on the porch next to a guy who was smiling at me. "Hey" He greeted me with a smile. "I'm Steven, Geo's brother" The guy introduced himself to me and I smiled at him. "I'm Levi" I shook his head. "Why are they drinking considering we have a game tonight" I asked Steven and Steven shrugged his shoulders. Steven drank out of a red cup and gave me a smile. "I'm going to go" I told him getting up from the porch and Steven nodded his head. "I'm not the partying type" I confessed to Steven. "I'll walk with you" He suggested to me and we walked through the house and then I found myself in a chair and my mouth was forced open and I felt them push alcohol down my throat and I felt myself gagging. "Let me go" I yelled at my teammates and I pushed them away from me. They held me down and they were laughing at me and I finally broke free from them and I rushed out of the house and just like that Geo was laughing. "Come on I'll take you home" Geo offered me and I shook my head. "Levi, you are the new guy, we haze new guys but we meant no harm" Geo placed his hands on my shoulder and he forced me into the car with him. "You shouldn't be driving" I advised him and Geo rolled his eyes. "I'm fine" Geo said to me and I sighed. Geo was laughing and talking on the phone and I felt a sense of nerves coming onto me.  Geo was speeding up the car and I felt my eyes go wide. "SLOW DOWN" I shouted at Geo and Geo just looked at me and I saw the bright headlines coming onto me and I grabbed the steering wheel to avoid the car. I felt the car flipping and next time I woke up, I saw Geo holding his head. I was in immense pain and the car was upside down. I screamed in pain. "Levi" Geo said to me while grabbing my head. "I CAN'T FEEL MY LEGS" I shouted at Geo and Geo eyes went wide and he was shaking his head back and forth. I heard legs running up to me and that's when I saw Steven by my side. "Levi" he said to me with his eyes wide open. "The ambulance is coming soon" Steven tried to comfort me and I heard the police sirens in the background and I could hear the fire trucks. "Son, what's your name" The officer asked me and I took a shaky breath. "Levi Styles" I answered him and the officer just nodded his head before the firefighter break the door off the car and they slowly slid me out of the car and onto stretcher. I had a neck brace around my neck to keep my head on straight. I was bleeding and I know I would never be able to walk again. I felt someone rush to my side, it was Geo the captain of the team. "You going to be okay" Geo kept saying to me while he was held back in the other officers arms. "Levi what hurts" the paramedics asked me while they load me onto the stretcher and i felt tears come out of my eyes. "I can't feel my legs and my neck hurts and my eye" I told them and just like that the paramedics rushed me into the helicopter and I just looked up while they put on my oxygen mask. i knew I wasn't okay and if I couldn't feel my legs goodbye to my life, goodbye to who I am. I would never be able to play another sport. I was removed from the helicopter and I could hear everybody rushing around in the room. "Hey son, it's good that you are still awake. We need to take out a piece of glass from your leg and your eye okay" The doctor spoke and I just gave him a thumbs up. "Hard to breath son" the doctor asked me and I just nodded my head. I heard the paramedics say to the doctor this "Severe car accident the driver was said to have alcohol in his system mixed with speed caused him to crash into another car broken ribs, can't feel his legs or below his waist and his neck is hurting him. He might have internal bleeding and a concussion as well." "You play baseball" The doctor asked me and I nodded my head slowly. "My son loves baseball" The doctor told me and I smiled a little bit. The doctor turned towards one of the nurses in the room. "Get his parents on the line right now, we need a decision on what we can do and fast" The doctor said and that's when I felt my eyes closed now. I could hear the panic in the doctor's voice and i could hear and feel the electric shocks to try to keep me alive.
