Ch. 25: Making of a Loving Family

I was happy my dad and my father were actually getting along and I was happy. I could hear both of my parents laughing and singing in the kitchen. I walked downstairs to see my dad making breakfast. "Dad" I said to him and dad looked up. He smiled at me. "Are you guys back together or what"I asked my parents. I mean I knew they were going to therapy. "We are being civilized right now and I don't think we are in the right mind to actually to move back in the house" Dad told me and I just stared at my parents nodding my head. "Good so no more fighting anymore" I asked them and my dad and father nodded their heads. "Yes that's true. Okay get ready to go to school, Albany will be coming over to pick you up" My dad said to me and I nodded my head before going back upstairs to grab some food. My dad packed me some food and I heard the car honk. I looked out the window and there stood Albany and I rushed outside. I went in the passenger seat. Albany was smiling at me. She had her hair put up in a bun. I could see her face. Albany had this glow on her face. We pulled up to the parking lot, I walked to my locker and I opened my locker to see a note fell out of it.
"Hey I think you are pretty" Sincerely, your secret admirer.
I looked around the school. I was shocked that someone might actually like me. "Hey Gracie" I heard one of the girls that was on the dance team greeted me. "Wow, someone likes you I bet it that Topher guy" Esme told me and I rolled my eyes. "I doubt, he's one of the most popular kid in our grade" I answered her while I collected my books. We were heading to class when I decided to go to the bathroom and that's when I heard someone throwing up. I quickly hid and then I saw Albany putting a mint in her mouth.  I walked up to her and Albany looked shocked that I was in there. "What is going on" I asked Albany and Albany shook her head. "Grace it's nothing" Albany told me and i just shook my head. "Are you throwing up your food" I asked her and Albany shook her head. She grabbed her bag and left the bathroom. I was confused on what was going on with Albany. I thought she was going to talk to me about what was happening with her but of course not. I sighed and I walked to my class. I sat down next to Robyn this other girl who was also on the dance team. "Hey Grace" Robyn smiled at me and I smiled back at her. I stared at the board. "So, you going to the dance next week" Robyn asked me and I shook my head. "I doubt it. I don't have a date nor do I go to dances" I pointed out to Robyn and Robyn sighed. "You have to go" Robyn said to me and I rolled my eyes. "I don't see why I have to go to that stupid homecoming dance" I said to her and Robyn just smiled at me. "You have to" Robyn told me before the teacher came into the room. We started taking notes down on a piece of paper. I sighed, it was finally lunch time, i walked into the cafeteria before sitting down at the table with Lilith, and Albany. They were eating food but mostly Andy was eating Albany's food. Albany kept fiddling with her hands. She looked pale and ill but I wasn't going to bring it up with Lilith around and Andy. They probably didn't know what was going on. Lilith was glaring at Levi who ditched our table to hang out with the baseball team. I mean I was happy that Levi was becoming popular. I always thought he was good decent person and should have been more popular than one thinks. "Guys" I told them before handing the note to Lilith and her eyes went wide and a big smile on her face. "Someone likes you" Lilith exclaimed and passed the note to Albany and Albany had her thinking face on. "Andy, tell Grace who wrote this note" Albany handed it to Andy and Andy sighed but had a smile on his face. "Wait how do you know who wrote this" I asked them and Andy smiled. "Because I know everyone in this school" Andy smiled at me and I nodded at him. "So who is it" I asked Andy and Andy smiled at me. "It's someone on the soccer team" Andy told me and I rolled my eyes. "So, that's it, you're not going to tell me the name" I asked Andy and Andy shook his head at me. I sighed out loud and all of sudden, I felt a tap on my shoulder. "Flowers for Grace" The guy said and handed me some flowers. I looked at the card. Will you go to Homecoming with me?  I was shocked and I was looking around trying to figure out who sent me these flowers. I felt someone behind me and I turned around and there stood a kid name Arthur Kaine. "Would you go to homecoming with me" Arthur rubbed the back of his neck and I smiled at him. I nodded my head yes and Arthur kissed my cheek before leaving me with Lilith wiggling her eyebrows. "Your first date congrats" Albany greeted me and I just smiled at her. 

School was finally over and I entered the house. It was quiet and I went into the living room to see my dad and father passed out sleeping on the sofa. I smiled to myself before going upstairs to my room. I was worried for Albany but maybe it was nothing to concern myself with.
