Ch.29: Making of A Dance

It was the day of my very first dance and not to mention, I was sweating eyeballs because I was going with Arthur. He was on the soccer team and I hoped it went well. I also knew that Andy and Albany wasn't going to the dance. It was the homecoming dance and I sighed while smoothed out the dress. It was a dress that was above my knee. Lilith designed the dress for me and I must say that she outdo herself. 

I felt a knock on my door and I saw my parents. They both were smiling at me. "You look beautiful sweetheart" My dad told me while placing a kiss on my forehead. "Justin will be taking you to the dance, are you cool with that" My daddy told me and I just nodded my head. The truth was that I didn't have any issue with Justin and it seemed that parents were getting along with Justin and each other. I knew they were going to therapy to solve their problems, I was just glad that there was no more arguing at all. I don't think I could stand hearing the fights once more. The doorbell rang and I rushed down the stairs and I saw Justin. He was rubbing the back of his neck and had a smile placed on his face. "Hey Grace" He greeted me and that's when my daddy and dad walked down the stairs. "Niall, Louis" Justin said to my parents and my dad just nodded at Justin. Justin went inside the house. "Thanks for letting me take Grace to the dance Louis" Justin said to my parents. My dad went into the kitchen and my dad just smiled at Justin. It was a forced smile and i could feel the tension coming off him. "Let's go" I told Justin and Justin nodded his head. "Be back by 11 at the latest, you getting a ride from Susan and Lilith right" Dad asked me while hugging me tight. "Yeah that's the plan but I'll double check when I get to the dance" I waved bye at my parents and I hopped into Justin's car. I was sitting in the passenger side and Justin drove off to the school. The car ride was silent except for the radio being played over and over again. It was playing one of Justin's songs and I had to admit that some of his songs were actually good. He parked the car and he just stared forward. "Thanks for the ride Justin" I hugged him before leaving the car and I entered the building checking my phone for messages and it said to wait before entering the gym where the dance would be taking place. I kept checking my phone, hoping that Arthur was going to show up but nothing. I finally saw Arthur walked in with his other teammates. He smiled hugely at me. "Hey, you look pretty" Arthur complimented me and i just smiled at him while slightly blushing. "Ready to go inside" Arthur asked me and I just nodded my head. He grabbed hold of my hands and I was looking around at the gym to see a lot of people dancing. I saw Lilith and i was shocked to see her in her dress, she was wearing a nice green dress and her hair was in a buN. She looked completely different and next to her was Susan who also looked amazing. She was wearing a two piece outfit.  I walked up to them while Arthur was getting us some punch. 

 "Hey guys" I greeted my dance team coach/captain and my cousin that wasn't really related to me. "Hey Grace, did you just get here" Lilith asked me while sipping her punch. "Yeah, Arthur is getting us some punch" I told her and Lilith gave me a smile on her face. "That dress is amazing on you" Lilith said to me and I rolled my eyes. "Well, I thought you would like it since you designed it and made it" I punched her shoulders and I felt a tap on my shoulder and there stood Arthur with the punch and I grabbed it. I started sipping it and soon enough i found myself dancing on the floor. Susan and Lilith were just in the back just talking and laughing. I never seen Lilith so happy over it.  "You having a nice time" Arthur asked me and i just smiled and nodded. "Thanks for asking me out to this dance" I told Arthur and Arthur just smiled and twirled me around on the dance floor. "No problem" Arthur kissed my cheek and I blushed a hard red on my cheeks. We walked back to the punch bowl and Arthur was pouring the drink into cup and was handing it to me when he poured the drink onto my dress. I gasped and looked at the red punch that was on my dress. Arthur just laughed and high fived his teammates. "You honestly think I would wanted to go to this dance with some cutter. Don't even deny it, we all that you are nothing but a cutter" Arthur told me and I looked around the gym. It was silent and everybody was watching me. Numerous people were laughing at me and that's when I rushed out of there passing everyone and i rushed to the bathroom and I grabbed paper towel trying to get the stain out but it wasn't coming out but maybe i couldn't see because my tears were clouding up my eyes. I threw my purse against the mirror while my makeup were being smudged. Lilith was standing in the bathroom and I bit my lip trying to stop myself from sobbing out loud. Lilith grabbed my shoulders before wiping my smudged of makeup. "Let's get you home" Lilith wrapped her arms around me. "What about Susan" I asked her and Susan just smiled at me. "This dance is boring anyway" Susan said to me and we walked out of the school. I got into Lilith's car. She was going to drop me off first then Susan. I entered the house and my dads got up from the couch. "You home early" Dad said to me and he turned off the TV. "How was it" He asked me and I just shrugged my shoulders. "Grace" He turned me around before I could quickly escape into my bedroom and just sob myself to sleep. "Arthur was jerk" I said while trying not to cry in front of my dads. "Daddy, he ruined my dress and he huminlated me in front everybody. He never liked me" I ranted to my parents and my dad just wrapped his arms around me tight. "I'm going to my bed. You think I can miss school on Monday" I asked my parents. My parents were strict about missing school. Dad looked at my father and they both nodded. "Yes it's fine, just go up to your room okay" Dad urged me and I rushed to my room and I closed my bedroom door and I put my knees against my chest and sobbed quietly to myself. My first heartbreak. Never trust jocks ever.
