Albany was just sitting in her room while doing her homework on her desk. She was eleven at the time. Her Uncle Niall, who came back from winning numerous football games came in and sat down on her bed.
"Hey Al" Uncle Niall called her and Albany glared at her Uncle Niall who was obsessed with giving everyone nicknames but Albany never like the nickname Al.
"Can you stop calling me Al" Albany asked her Uncle.
"What's wrong with Al" Niall asked his niece.
"It just sounds like a boy name and I already get teased enough about my name as it is" Albany sighed while pushing her long hair out of her face.
"Names can be whatever you make it. You know I used to call you Al when you were a baby, used drive your parents mad" Uncle Niall told Albany while leaned against her desk.
"Really" Albany was now focusing on Niall and Niall nodded and he had a huge smile on his face.
"Yup, how about this, I only call you Al at family gatherings" Niall proposed the idea to Albany and Albany nodded.
"Sounds like a deal" Albany smiled at her Uncle Niall.
"Now get that homework done" Niall commanded at Albany before walking out of Albany's room.
"Bye" She said her goodbye to her favorite Uncle at the time but Uncle Niall would always be the one that she's closest to no matter what. She was glad she had an uncle that was like Niall.
