Grace was an exceptional talent. Louis and Niall both knew it when she saw little Gracie landing a backflip at the age of eight. She was absolutely amazing. With no training, everybody that Louis worked with on Broadway thought she was going to be a dancer even though she wasn't exactly coordinated yet.
Niall and Louis agreed to put her in dance classes for her to burn off her energy and it worked and Gracie loved to dance. It was passion, she loved ballet and contemporary and even ballet. Niall would pick her up constantly since Louis was always at rehearsal and that made Gracie sad and want to cry.
She wanted to show her dad what she learned at dance class but Louis wasn't ever there and when he came home he would be tired.
"Daddy" Gracie ran up to Louis who was sitting in a chair. She still had on her ballet outfit on. Her hair was in a bun and her tutu and her ballet shoes weren't removed. Louis had his eyes closed. Once saw this, she sighed before putting a blanket over Louis and walking up the stairs to her bedroom and that's when she removed her costume. Gracie never stopped trying though. She was determined that Louis was going to see her.
It was a competition the biggest one known for people her age, she reserved two tickets but she only saw one of her dads in the crowd and Gracie put on a brave face stole the show. She ended up winning first place. Her dad came bursting in and once he saw the trophy in her hands, Louis knew he missed his daughter's first competition and Louis had tears down his cheeks. Gracie not knowing anything quickly wiped the tears.
"It's okay daddy, Daddy N videotaped it" Gracie hugged her dad and Louis picked her up.
Once they got home, Gracie ran to her room and she peaked her head out to hear her parents fighting over and over again. She put a pillow over head.
Now Gracie was no longer a little girl, she was simply ten going on eleven she knew what was going between her parents. They avoided each other but they would go to her competition together and put on an act in front of everybody. Her room was covered in trophies and medals in a case that made her proud. It was annoying how much her parents avoided each other, it made her think it was her fault. Even thought Gracie was no little girl, she would find herself covering her head underneath her pillows to block out the arguments.
By the time, Grace was now 12, Louis was in New York and her dad N was pouting and being depressed. He would still go see her perform and Little oh so little innocent Gracie found a new dangerous habit that deal with her home life. Self-harm, it became her peace of mind but no one thought it would make Little Gracie lose herself.
